South Korean boy group TWS brought their youthful charm and infectious energy to Singapore for their first-ever concert in the city, giving local fans a chance to experience the rising K-pop act’s signature sound and dynamic performances up close.
The six-member group — Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyungmin — performed at Arena @ EXPO on Oct 10 as part of their 2026 TWS TOUR ‘24/7:FOR:YOU’.
The concert marked an important milestone for the group, which debuted under Pledis Entertainment in January 2024 and has steadily built a following through its bright musical style, relatable lyrics and polished choreography.
Known for their self-described “boyhood pop” sound, TWS have carved out an identity centred on youthful experiences, growing pains and the excitement of everyday life.
From Rookie Group to Rising K-pop Sensation
TWS made a strong impression with their debut song, “Plot Twist”, which became South Korea’s most-streamed song on Melon for 2024.
The achievement helped establish the group as one of the notable new acts in the K-pop scene. Since then, they have continued releasing music, including tracks such as “If I’m S, Can You Be My N?” and “Overdrive”.
Their musical identity blends upbeat melodies with sentimental storytelling, offering a sound that reflects the group’s youthful image while connecting with listeners navigating similar experiences.
TWS is also part of the Pledis Entertainment family, which includes established K-pop group SEVENTEEN. The younger act has spoken about learning from its seniors, particularly the importance of expressing themselves confidently on stage and not being afraid of making mistakes.
Fresh Arrangements and Special Stages for Singapore Fans
Ahead of their Singapore concert, the members told CNA Lifestyle that they were excited to meet local fans, known as 42, for the first time.
Youngjae said the group wanted to deliver a memorable performance, while Hanjin revealed that they had prepared fresh song arrangements and unit stages for the tour.
The members also expressed hope that fans would leave the concert with positive memories and a sense of comfort they could carry into their everyday lives.
For the group, the Singapore stop represented more than another overseas performance. It was an opportunity to build a direct connection with a new audience and introduce more people to their music.
What Makes TWS Stand Out?
TWS have built their identity around what they call “boyhood pop”, a style that captures the emotions and experiences of youth through bright, melodic songs and energetic performances.
Rather than presenting a fully formed image, the members have described their music as a reflection of their ongoing growth as artists and individuals.
They have also expressed interest in experimenting with different musical genres as their careers progress, while maintaining the recognisable sound that has helped them attract listeners.
This balance between a clear musical identity and a willingness to explore new directions could become increasingly important as the group expands its international audience.
A New Chapter in TWS’ International Journey
The Singapore concert forms part of the group’s broader effort to reach audiences outside South Korea, following the success of their early releases.
Their first performance in the city gave local fans an opportunity to see the six members together on stage and experience the group’s evolving musical style.
As TWS continue to grow, their challenge will be to build on the success of “Plot Twist” while developing a wider repertoire and a stronger connection with fans around the world.
For Singapore’s 42, the concert marked the beginning of a new chapter with the group — one that both the members and their fans hope will lead to more shared musical moments in the future.
