A 25-year-old woman has died after falling from a condominium in Singapore’s Serangoon area, with police saying preliminary investigations do not indicate foul play.

The incident happened at about 11.35am on Oct 4 at Regent Residences, 1091 Serangoon Road, where the woman was found lying motionless at the foot of the condominium block.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic pronounced her dead at the scene.

Woman found at foot of condominium block

According to the Singapore Police Force, officers were alerted to a case involving a fall from height at 1091 Serangoon Road at around 11.35am on Sunday.

The woman was subsequently found at the foot of the building.

SCDF was alerted at about 11.40am, and paramedics later pronounced her dead at the scene.

A blue police tent was seen covering part of a carpark area on the ground floor following the incident, according to footage shared with Stomp.

The woman is believed to have been a foreign domestic worker, although authorities have not publicly released further details about her identity.

Police do not suspect foul play

Police said that, based on preliminary investigations, they do not suspect foul play.

However, investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are still ongoing.

The statement means authorities have not identified evidence at this stage suggesting that another person was responsible for the woman’s death. It does not indicate that the investigation has been closed.

No further details about what led to the fall have been released.

Residents questioned about domestic helpers

The incident prompted police to make inquiries with residents at the condominium.

One resident told Stomp that police officers had knocked on her door on the morning of Oct 4 and asked whether she had a domestic helper at home.

The resident later learned that a woman had died after falling from the condominium.

Police have not said publicly whether the woman lived at Regent Residences or was working for a household there.

Investigation continues

Regent Residences is a 180-unit private condominium development along Serangoon Road, with a 26-storey block at 1091 Serangoon Road. Property listings identify the development as having been completed in the mid-2010s.

Authorities have not disclosed which floor the woman fell from or the circumstances immediately before the incident.

As investigations continue, police are expected to establish the sequence of events leading to the fall and determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

For now, police have said there is no indication of foul play based on their preliminary findings.

The case remains under investigation.
