Singapore Airlines Unveils Major In-Flight Dining Upgrade Across All Cabin Classes

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is giving passengers across all cabin classes a taste of something new, rolling out more than 100 refreshed and new dishes as the airline prepares to introduce its next-generation cabin experience later this year.

The revamped SIA Chefs’ Selection menu includes new appetisers, main courses and desserts, with options tailored across Suites, First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class. The airline has already begun introducing the new dishes, while additional beverage and tableware upgrades are scheduled to arrive from November.

Economy passengers can expect new choices such as oriental-style fish with yellow bean sauce and roasted chicken breast, while Premium Economy offerings include dishes such as Irish lamb stew and chicken stroganoff.

Business Class passengers will see a wider selection featuring dishes including prawn cocktail, char siew with wanton noodles, Singapore-style prawn noodle soup and Indonesian-inspired meals.

At the premium end of the cabin, Suites and First Class passengers will have access to dishes such as poached Maine lobster with champagne sauce and beef short rib sambal percik served with nasi kerabu.

But the dining changes are only part of SIA’s broader cabin transformation.

Starting Nov. 7, the airline is scheduled to introduce its new First Class seats, including a companion-dining feature that allows passengers travelling together to dine facing one another by converting selected seats into a shared dining space.

SIA is also introducing new custom-designed tableware created in partnership with French luxury brand Christofle for passengers in Suites, First Class and Business Class. The airline said this is the first time Christofle chinaware has been used by an airline onboard its flights.

The beverage programme is also being expanded. Suites and First Class passengers will receive access to a blended Japanese whisky from Komoro Distillery that is exclusive to SIA, while Premium Economy and Economy passengers will have a new Whyte and Mackay blended Scotch whisky option. New wine selections will also be available in the premium cabins.

The dining revamp forms part of SIA’s larger next-generation travel experience, which includes new long-haul cabin products, an updated KrisWorld entertainment system and other onboard enhancements. The airline has said these upgrades will be introduced progressively.

With the airline upgrading everything from menus and tableware to seats and entertainment, SIA’s latest changes signal a broader effort to reshape the onboard experience across its cabin classes.

And with the new seats and entertainment system arriving alongside the dining upgrades, the next SIA flight could look very different from the one passengers are used to.
