Jake Bahia and Dan Simeon of Steelmax Inc. are set to represent the Philippines at the World Corporate Golf Challenge World Final in Beijing, China, from October 19 to 23.
The Filipino pair earned their place in the global competition after winning the Philippine qualifying tournament earlier this month. They will compete against corporate golf teams from more than 30 countries at Beijing Qinghe Bay Golf Country Club.
Bahia said the opportunity goes beyond representing their company, emphasizing that carrying the Philippine flag gives the competition added significance for the pair. He said they are focused on representing the country as they prepare for the international tournament.
The World Corporate Golf Challenge brings together business leaders, executives and entrepreneurs who qualify through national tournaments. The 2026 World Final will feature two competition rounds, with the decisive final round scheduled for October 22.
The championship rounds will be played on the Chaoyang Course at Beijing Qinghe Bay Golf Country Club. The event will also feature networking activities and the Sports Legends Cup as part of the World Final week.
Bahia and Simeon will enter the competition alongside representatives from countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas, giving the Philippine duo an opportunity to compete on an international corporate golf stage.
Their appearance in Beijing continues the Philippines’ participation in the WCGC, where national qualifiers provide corporate golfers with a pathway to compete at the global final.
With the World Final approaching, Bahia and Simeon are now preparing for the two-round championship while carrying both their company’s name and the Philippine flag onto the international golf stage.
