Megawide Tops Off Two Towers in Cavite as 4PH Housing Project Moves Forward

Megawide Construction Corp. has reached another major construction milestone in Cavite, topping off two towers of a socialized housing development under the government’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program, or 4PH.

The topping-off ceremony for Towers C and D of Jab Residences was held in Barangay Paliparan, Dasmariñas City, marking significant progress for the development, which forms part of the 4PH Sampaloc III project. The two buildings are among 17 towers planned for the project, which is expected to generate at least 3,000 condominium-type housing units. 

Jab Residences is being developed by PH1 World Developers, the property arm associated with Megawide, as part of its expanding participation in the government’s socialized housing programme. The project is designed to provide more affordable housing options for working-class families in Cavite.

The milestone comes as private-sector participation in the Expanded 4PH programme continues to grow. Megawide has committed to delivering 100,000 socialized housing units, while other major property developers have also signalled support for the government’s housing initiatives. 

The Cavite developments form part of a broader pipeline of 4PH projects being pursued by PH1 World Developers. Earlier this year, the company broke ground on housing developments in Salitran and Paliparan that together involve 26 multi-storey condominium towers and are expected to generate more than 7,000 housing units. 

Megawide is also working on other 4PH developments in Cavite, including Avesta Residences in Imus and projects in Dasmariñas and Bacoor. Avesta Residences, for example, consists of five mid-rise residential towers and is designed to provide 1,100 units on a 1.3-hectare site within the Imus Government Complex. 

The company has highlighted the use of industrialised construction methods, including precast technology, as a way to accelerate the delivery of large-scale housing projects. Tower 1 of Avesta Residences was structurally topped off in August, less than 10 months after construction began. 

The latest topping-off milestone comes as the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development continues its nationwide push to increase the supply of decent, safe and affordable housing. DHSUD said it expects to deliver about 200,000 housing units this year, following regulatory reforms aimed at expanding housing production. 

For Cavite, the growing number of 4PH developments represents an expanding supply of government-supported housing in one of the country’s major residential and employment corridors. Once completed, projects such as Jab Residences are expected to provide thousands of families with access to formal condominium-style housing supported through the Expanded 4PH framework.

With two more towers now structurally complete, construction on Jab Residences moves another step closer to delivering additional socialized housing units to families in Cavite. 
