Two men were arrested in separate theft incidents in Cebu City on September 18, 2026, according to police reports.
At around 7 a.m., a 45-year-old unemployed man identified by the alias “Kaizer,” a resident of Sitio San Roque, Barangay Kamagayan, was reportedly caught by barangay watchmen after allegedly stealing electrical wires worth around P2,000.
Police said Kaizer admitted taking the wires because he needed money and intended to sell them.
He was brought to the Parian Police Station for proper processing.
Later that day, at around 2:55 p.m., another man identified by the alias “Andrie,” 38, married and a resident of Cordova who was staying along Leon Kilat Street in Barangay Kalubihan, was arrested in a separate alleged shoplifting incident.
Andrie was reportedly caught taking several hardware items from a mall along Osmeña Boulevard in Barangay Kalubihan.
The items allegedly taken included two screwdrivers worth P399 each, a long-nose plier and a bent-nose plier worth P79 each. The total value of the items was placed at P1,276.
According to the report, Andrie allegedly placed the items inside his black backpack and attempted to leave the establishment without paying.
He was brought to the Carbon Police Station and placed under police custody while authorities processed the case.
Police treated the two incidents as separate cases, with no reported connection between the suspects. The allegations remain subject to the appropriate legal proceedings.
