BTS member Jungkook has reached another major streaming milestone after his solo hit “Standing Next to You” surpassed 500 million plays on YouTube Music.
The retro-funk track, released as the main single from his debut solo album Golden, became Jungkook’s fourth song to reach the 500-million mark on the platform. It joins “Seven” featuring Latto, “3D” featuring Jack Harlow and “Left and Right,” his collaboration with Charlie Puth.
“Standing Next to You” has also maintained a strong presence across international music charts. The song debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, while reaching No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts. It also climbed to No. 6 on the UK Official Singles Chart.
The song’s success extends beyond YouTube Music. It has accumulated about 1.5 billion streams on Spotify, adding to Jungkook’s growing list of high-performing solo releases.
The latest achievement comes as Jungkook continues to build a strong solo streaming record alongside BTS activities. His other solo releases have also crossed major streaming milestones, with “Seven” remaining one of his biggest global successes.
The milestone was recorded shortly after BTS returned to the international stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. The group performed four songs at the festival, marking its first appearance there since 2020. Jungkook subsequently returned to South Korea.
With “Standing Next to You” now joining three other Jungkook tracks above 500 million YouTube Music plays, another chapter has been added to the singer’s growing list of solo achievements. The numbers also show how his music continues to attract listeners across major streaming platforms years after its original release.
