BTS Makes Historic Peru Debut as Lima Rolls Out ‘BTS Avenue’ for ARMY

BTS is officially bringing its ARIRANG World Tour to Peru for the first time, and Lima is transforming itself into a celebration of the K-pop group’s historic arrival.

The seven-member group is scheduled to perform at Estadio San Marcos in Lima on Oct. 7, 9 and 10, marking BTS’ first concerts in Peru since its 2013 debut. An additional Lima show was added after strong demand from fans.

The concerts are part of the group’s South American tour, which began in Bogotá and will continue through Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

Lima Creates a ‘BTS Avenue’

The excitement is extending well beyond the concert venue.

The Santiago de Surco district has temporarily renamed Sacramento Street “BTS Avenue” from Oct. 5 through 11, installing BTS-themed signs along the route to mark the group’s visit.

The district has also arranged purple lighting at the Arco Morisco in Surco Post Park, with light shows scheduled during the week of BTS’ arrival.

The visual transformation gives fans another way to celebrate the group while turning BTS’ first Peru visit into a broader city event.

Thousands of Fans Prepare for BTS’ First Peru Shows

The anticipation has been building for weeks, with Lima’s San Marcos area becoming a gathering point for fans ahead of the concerts.

Peruvian tourism authorities are also promoting the visit as an opportunity to showcase the country’s culture, food, landscapes and tourism experiences to BTS fans arriving from Peru and abroad.

A fan-led initiative called ROAD TO 7 has organized cultural, artistic, tourism and community activities surrounding the concerts, extending the celebration beyond the stadium.

The scale of the response reflects the significance of BTS’ first full-group concerts in Peru.

BTS’ Latin American Tour Is Making History

The Lima performances follow BTS’ concerts in Bogotá on Oct. 2 and 3, which launched the South American portion of the ARIRANG tour. The group is performing as a full seven-member lineup after all members completed their military service.

The Latin American leg includes stops in five countries, with BTS scheduled to perform in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

For Peru, however, the milestone is particularly significant: this is the first time the complete group has performed there.

And the response has already gone beyond music.

From a temporarily renamed street to purple-lit landmarks and fan-organized cultural activities, Lima is turning BTS’ arrival into a citywide celebration.

BTS may be coming to Lima for three concerts, but Peru is making sure the group’s first visit becomes an event that ARMY will remember long after the final ARIRANG note fades.
