MANILA, Philippines — AboitizPower has earned fresh recognition for its efforts to transform its employer brand, strengthening its position as one of the Philippine companies seeking to attract, develop and retain talent amid a rapidly changing energy industry.
The power company was recognized with the Best Employer Brand Transformation Journey award at the TalentView People Insight Awards 2026, an awards program recognizing organizations and leaders across the Philippines and ASEAN for achievements in employer branding, workplace culture and talent innovation.
AboitizPower said the recognition came after it received three nominations across eight categories, with more than 100 nominations considered. The award was determined through deliberation by an external pool of experts invited by TalentView.
At the center of the company’s employer-brand strategy is its employee value proposition, #POWERyourFuture, which AboitizPower describes as a framework designed to make employee growth, purpose, empowerment and recognition part of everyday workplace experiences.
More than an award
The recognition comes as AboitizPower continues to position itself not only as an energy company but also as an employer competing for talent in an increasingly technology-driven and sustainability-focused sector.
The company has also been named among the Top 50 Employers in the Philippines by Kalibrr for the second consecutive year. The recognition is based on a data-driven assessment involving employer branding, hiring trends, industry impact, and insights from job seekers, recruiters and third-party sources.
The latest employer recognition is also consistent with a broader effort by AboitizPower to strengthen its corporate reputation.
In 2026, the company made its debut in the Brand Finance Philippines 50, ranking 26th in brand value and 42nd in brand strength. Brand Finance evaluates Philippine brands using factors that include financial performance, stakeholder perceptions and brand strength.
AboitizPower was additionally included in Brand Finance’s “Brands to Watch” section, reflecting the growing profile of the Philippine energy sector as the industry navigates energy-transition and sustainability priorities.
Why the employer brand matters
For AboitizPower, building an employer brand goes beyond recruitment campaigns. The company has established policies covering areas such as diversity and inclusion, recruitment, flexible work arrangements, rewards and recognition, compensation and benefits, performance management, and learning and development.
The company has said its people strategy is closely connected to its wider transformation agenda, particularly as the Philippine power industry adapts to changing technology, sustainability requirements and evolving workforce expectations.
AboitizPower’s parent group, meanwhile, has emphasized that strong brands and corporate reputations can help companies attract talent, strengthen relationships with stakeholders and create long-term value.
Building the workforce behind the energy transition
The timing of the recognition is significant.
AboitizPower is expanding its involvement in renewable energy, energy infrastructure and storage as the Philippines works toward a more diversified and sustainable power system. Its renewable-energy arm, Aboitiz Renewables, is also developing projects such as the 239-megawatt-peak Luna Solar Power Plant in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, which is planned to include a 65-MW battery energy storage system.
That expansion requires companies in the energy sector to compete for engineers, technology professionals, project specialists, business leaders and other skilled workers.
The employer-brand award therefore highlights a critical part of AboitizPower’s transformation: the people expected to drive its next stage of growth.
For AboitizPower, the challenge now is to translate recognition into an employee experience that remains credible as the company grows—and to ensure that its promise of empowering people is reflected not only in its employer branding, but in the everyday experience of its workforce.
With its latest award, consecutive Top 50 Employer recognition and growing corporate brand value, AboitizPower is increasingly making its people strategy part of the larger story of how it intends to compete in the Philippines’ evolving energy landscape.
