Chinese actor and singer Dylan Wang has indirectly addressed recent rumours about an alleged genital enlargement procedure, using a cheeky remark during the filming of the variety show Hello Saturday.
Wang, who turns 28 in December, appeared at the show’s recording at a Hunan television studio on Sept. 29. Speaking to the audience, he reportedly said, “Just to assure everyone, your bro is very well, your bro’s ‘bro’ is also very well.”
The remark drew loud cheers from fans in the studio. According to an audience member, Wang initially delivered the line casually but later became visibly embarrassed and blushed as the crowd reacted.
Although he did not explicitly mention the rumours, his comments were widely understood as a reference to claims that had circulated online earlier in September alleging that he had undergone a failed genital enlargement procedure.
Wang’s studio had already denied the allegations on Sept. 16, describing the material circulating online as fabricated. The studio said it had preserved evidence, reported the matter to authorities and engaged a legal team to pursue the issue.
The rumours reportedly began with alleged chat screenshots that were circulated online and subsequently attributed by some users to Wang. The claims spread across social media before his studio issued its denial and warned people against continuing to share false information.
Wang’s latest appearance marks a more lighthearted response after his agency’s formal statement. Rather than directly repeating the allegations, he used the playful “bro’s bro” reference to reassure the audience that he was doing well.
The actor is best known for dramas including Meteor Garden, Love Between Fairy and Devil and Guardians of the Dafeng. He has also been working on Empress Reborn, while continuing activities connected to his streetwear brand D.Desirable.
His episode of Hello Saturday is expected to air in late October. For now, Wang’s brief comment appears to have given fans a direct, if humorous, response to a rumour that his studio has already rejected and referred for legal action.
