FairPrice Cuts Prices on Chicken and Eggs Across Singapore Until December 31

Singapore’s largest supermarket chain FairPrice has announced lower and locked prices for selected chicken and egg products across more than 100 stores, giving shoppers some relief from grocery costs through the end of the year.

The price reductions and price locks take effect immediately and will run until Dec. 31, 2026. The move covers selected fresh and frozen chicken as well as eggs, with the supermarket chain aiming to make commonly purchased staples more affordable for households.

The latest initiative comes as FairPrice continues efforts to cushion households against elevated living costs. Earlier this year, the retailer froze prices on 100 popular daily essentials, including chicken and eggs, while also increasing discounts for eligible CHAS cardholders.

FairPrice is also offering a range of other grocery promotions this week, including discounts on fresh produce, frozen foods and household products. Its current promotional cycle runs through Sept. 30, with additional campaigns extending into October.

Egg prices currently listed by FairPrice include Pasar Fresh Eggs at S$2.85 for a 10-pack, while other options from brands such as Chew’s, Dasoon and Seng Choon are also available at different price points.

The supermarket chain has also maintained discounts for certain groups. CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders can receive a 6 per cent discount on eligible purchases on designated days, with the benefit currently scheduled to continue through Jan. 1, 2027, subject to the programme’s terms and spending cap.

FairPrice said the latest chicken and egg price measures are part of its broader efforts to help Singapore households manage everyday expenses.

With the discounts and price locks extending through the final months of 2026, shoppers can expect selected staple products to remain at reduced or fixed prices at participating FairPrice outlets, while stocks and individual promotional conditions may vary.
