Glenn Yong Raises Concerns Over Uncomfortable Frisking Experience at Changi Airport

Singaporean actor and singer Glenn Yong has spoken out about an uncomfortable experience during a security check at Changi Airport, claiming that an officer touched him inappropriately while frisking him before his flight.

Yong, who turns 30 next month, shared his experience through several Instagram Stories on Sept. 29. He said he was going through the usual airport security screening when he felt that the officer conducting the frisk was “unusually touchy.”

In his first post, Yong alleged that the officer brushed against his private area twice and questioned whether such contact was permitted during airport security procedures. He did not identify the officer or provide further details about the screening.

Yong later posted another message tagging Changi Airport’s Instagram account. He said his team was reporting the incident and called for security officers to be properly trained and to follow the correct procedures when conducting physical searches.

The actor also said he believed he might not be the only traveller to have experienced what he considered inappropriate frisking around private areas. He called for measures to ensure passengers feel safe during security checks.

Yong did not disclose where he was travelling, although he later posted a video showing himself using public transport in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He subsequently said he would not allow the incident to affect his outlook and was looking forward to upcoming projects and other positive developments.

Changi Airport confirmed that it was aware of Yong’s Instagram posts and said it was looking into the matter. No further details about the investigation or the security officer involved have been publicly disclosed.

The incident has brought renewed attention to the importance of proper procedures and professional conduct during airport security screening, where physical searches may be conducted when required but must follow established protocols.
