Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup has climbed 477 places to rank 340th in TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2026, placing it among the world’s top 350 companies and making it the only Vietnamese company included in the ranking for a second consecutive year.
The ranking, compiled by TIME and Statista, evaluates the world’s top 1,000 companies based on three main areas: revenue growth, employee satisfaction and sustainability transparency, alongside analysis of environmental, social and corporate governance factors. Vingroup received an overall score of 81, rising sharply from 817th place in the 2025 ranking.
The company’s strongest improvement came as its financial performance accelerated in the first half of 2026. Vingroup reported consolidated net revenue of VND222.9 trillion, equivalent to about US$8.5 billion, up 72% from the same period a year earlier. Consolidated profit after tax reached VND20.904 trillion, 4.6 times higher year on year and equivalent to 60% of its full-year target.
The conglomerate’s employee-satisfaction ranking also improved substantially. Vingroup placed 398th globally in that category, up 496 places from 2025, according to the ranking information.
Vingroup has expanded beyond its traditional real-estate operations into automotive manufacturing, technology, infrastructure and green energy. Its ecosystem now has businesses operating in 12 countries and employs about 400,000 people worldwide, according to company information.
Its automotive arm, VinFast, has become a major part of that international expansion. The electric-vehicle maker has continued expanding production and overseas markets, while Vingroup has also moved into infrastructure and renewable-energy projects through businesses focused on high-speed rail and energy development.
The recognition follows another strong showing for Vingroup earlier this year. Fortune’s 2026 Southeast Asia 500 ranking placed the group 26th among the region’s largest companies by revenue, up from 37th a year earlier. Vingroup reported revenue of about US$12.8 billion for the ranking period, representing a 69% increase.
Vingroup’s rise in the TIME ranking reflects the broader expansion of Vietnamese companies onto regional and international business rankings. The latest result also highlights how revenue growth, workforce experience and sustainability reporting are increasingly being considered alongside traditional measures of corporate scale.
For Vingroup, the challenge now shifts from the rapid rise in rankings to maintaining growth across its expanding businesses, particularly as its investments in electric vehicles, infrastructure, real estate and green energy require substantial capital and continued execution.
