Two alleged drug personalities were arrested during a joint buy-bust operation in Minglanilla, Cebu, early Sunday, September 20, 2026, with authorities seizing suspected shabu estimated to be worth P204,000.
The operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cebu Provincial Office and the Minglanilla Municipal Police Station at around 12:05 a.m. in Purok Upper 4, Barangay Tunghaan.
PDEA 7 Director Joel Plaza identified the suspects by their aliases “Isko,” 40, who was reportedly the target of the operation, and “Kiban,” 36. Both are residents of the area.
Authorities reportedly recovered two packages containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 30 grams, with an estimated average market value of P204,000. Buy-bust money and a cellular phone were also seized during the operation.
The confiscated items were turned over to the PDEA 7 Regional Office Laboratory for examination and proper handling.
The two suspects were subsequently detained at the PDEA-7 custodial facility in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City, while authorities proceed with the appropriate legal process.
The seized substance remains classified as suspected shabu pending laboratory examination. The allegations against the two suspects will also be subject to the appropriate legal proceedings.
