SB19’s Stell Brings Gatsby Glamour to Star-Studded ‘Crazy’ Showcase, Delivers a Night of Love, Heartbreak and Stunning Vocals

SB19’s Stell turned an intimate evening into a dazzling celebration of music, romance and raw emotion as he brought the world of his newest solo single, “Crazy,” to life in a Gatsby-inspired showcase that drew some of the biggest names in Philippine entertainment.

Fresh from the release of his solo comeback single, Stell welcomed guests to Salon de Ning at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City, where the venue’s atmosphere echoed the glamorous jazz-era world associated with The Great Gatsby. But beneath the elegant setting was a deeply relatable message: love can make anyone do crazy things—and heartbreak is sometimes part of the journey.

A Star-Studded Night for Stell’s Solo Comeback

The invite-only event was attended by a number of familiar faces, including Anne Curtis, Raymond Gutierrez, Georgina Wilson, Liz Uy, BJ Manalo, Xyriel Manabat, RC Silvestre, Mhiema James, and ALAMAT’s Tomas, adding even more star power to an already memorable evening.

The Gatsby-inspired concept was a fitting backdrop for “Crazy,” whose music video takes viewers on a dreamy journey through New York City. The song explores the exhilarating uncertainty of falling in love and finding the courage to express those feelings.

For Stell, however, the story of love isn’t just about perfection.

He reflected during the showcase on how people can sometimes act irrationally when they are deeply in love, while also acknowledging that getting hurt can be an unavoidable part of opening one’s heart. As he put it, falling in love does not have to be perfect.

From Powerful Covers to Emotional Originals

Known by fans for his exceptional vocal range, the SB19 main vocalist delivered a set that showcased different sides of his artistry.

Stell opened the evening with his upbeat tracks “Classic” and “Room,” before performing a selection of covers and solo material. Among the highlights were “Risk It All,” “Lay Me Down,” “Tattooed Heart,” and “Die On This Hill,” alongside his Filipino songs “Anino” and “Di Ko Masabi.”

One particularly impressive moment came when Stell transitioned into the Spanish version of “Risk It All,” while his soaring vocals during “Lay Me Down” once again reminded audiences why he has earned a reputation as one of P-pop’s standout voices.

And then came the moment fans had been waiting for.

The Big Finale: Stell Performs ‘Crazy’ Live

Stell closed the night with the debut live performance of “Crazy,” giving the audience a first-hand experience of his newest musical chapter as a solo artist. The single, released on August 21, 2026, marks his first solo release since his 2024 EP Room.

The showcase also comes as Stell continues to balance his individual artistic journey with SB19’s expanding global presence. The group recently made history on the international festival stage, further highlighting how its members are increasingly carving out their own creative identities while continuing their work together as SB19.

A New Chapter—and Perhaps More to Come?

With “Crazy,” Stell appears to be stepping into a new era—one that embraces romance, vulnerability and the messy realities of loving someone.

The Gatsby-inspired glamour may have made the night visually unforgettable, but it was Stell’s message about love and heartbreak that gave the showcase its emotional heart.

And after a night filled with high notes, famous faces and a long-awaited live debut, one question remains: if this is how Stell is starting his new solo era, just how far is he willing to take fans next?
