RIIZE’s ‘Love 119’ Just Hit 100 Million Spotify Streams — But Its Next Big Test Arrives October 26

RIIZE has added another nine-digit streaming milestone to its rapidly growing catalog, with “Love 119” surpassing 100 million plays on Spotify more than two years after the song first arrived.

SM Entertainment confirmed the achievement on Thursday, September 17, making “Love 119” the six-member group’s second track to pass 100 million Spotify streams, following debut-era hit “Get A Guitar.”

For a group that debuted only in September 2023, reaching the mark with multiple songs is another indication that some of RIIZE’s earliest releases are continuing to attract listeners well beyond their original promotion periods.

And “Love 119” is particularly important.

It was not merely another single in RIIZE’s early catalog.

It was the song that delivered the group its first No. 1 trophy on a Korean television music show and helped establish RIIZE as one of the strongest digital performers among the new generation of K-pop boy groups.

Now, with another comeback already scheduled for October 26, the two-year-old song is reaching a major global streaming milestone just as RIIZE prepares to start its next chapter.

‘Love 119’ Was Built Around a Korean Hit From Nearly 20 Years Earlier

Released on January 5, 2024, “Love 119” combined RIIZE’s youthful pop style with an unusually familiar piece of Korean music history.

The track samples “Emergency Room,” the 2005 hit by Korean band izi, reworking its recognizable piano melody into a dreamy pop-dance song driven by rhythmic drums.

The concept compares the overwhelming feeling of falling in love to an emergency — hence the repeated “1-1-9” hook, Korea’s emergency telephone number.

That combination of nostalgia and contemporary K-pop proved effective almost immediately.

Within hours of release, “Love 119” topped several Korean real-time charts and reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least nine markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines and Colombia.

But unlike many songs that experience a massive first week and then rapidly disappear, “Love 119” developed unusually strong staying power.

The Song Reached No. 3 on Melon — And Stayed Around for a Year

On Melon, South Korea’s biggest domestic music platform, “Love 119” eventually climbed to No. 3 on the Top 100, while reaching No. 4 on both the daily and weekly charts and No. 5 on the monthly ranking.

Its durability became even clearer afterward.

The Korea Times reported in 2025 that “Love 119” appeared on Melon’s monthly chart continuously from January 2024 through January 2025, an unusually long run for a rookie boy group’s single.

Circle Chart data also showed how strongly it performed during its release year.

“Love 119” ranked No. 15 on Circle Chart’s digital ranking for the first half of 2024, accumulating more than 225 million digital points during that period.

The song ultimately became more than a successful comeback.

For many casual Korean listeners, it became one of the songs that defined RIIZE.

Now It Has 100 Million Plays on Three Different Platforms

The latest Spotify milestone is especially notable because it is not the first platform where “Love 119” has reached nine digits.

The track previously exceeded 100 million cumulative streams on Melon in 2025 and has also surpassed 100 million streams on YouTube Music, according to Korean media reports citing platform data.

Its Spotify milestone means “Love 119” has now independently crossed 100 million plays on Spotify, Melon and YouTube Music. These are separate platform totals and should not be added together as a single verified worldwide streaming figure.

That distinction matters.

Spotify gives RIIZE access to a particularly international listener base, while Melon reflects much more heavily on domestic Korean consumption.

Performing strongly on both therefore points to the song’s ability to connect with audiences inside and outside South Korea.

‘Get A Guitar’ Got There First

“Love 119” becomes RIIZE’s second song to cross 100 million Spotify streams after “Get A Guitar,” the title track from the group’s September 2023 debut single album.

Together, the two tracks form much of the foundation of RIIZE’s early identity.

“Get A Guitar” introduced the group’s accessible, performance-oriented sound.

“Love 119” then showed that the initial attention could translate into a much bigger Korean digital hit.

Since then, RIIZE has expanded its catalog through releases including “Talk Saxy,” “Impossible,” “Boom Boom Bass,” “Fly Up” and “Do Your Dance.”

And the scale of the group’s business has grown with it.

RIIZE’s Most Recent EP Sold More Than 1.2 Million Copies in Its First Week

RIIZE released its second EP “II” in June 2026, with “Do Your Dance” serving as its focus track.

The Korea Herald reported that the EP sold more than 1.2 million copies during its first week and that “Do Your Dance” collected three television music-show wins.

That performance underlines an important part of RIIZE’s current position.

The group is showing strength in two different parts of the K-pop market at once.

Older digital tracks such as “Love 119” continue accumulating streaming numbers, while newer physical releases are capable of moving more than a million copies.

The next question is whether that momentum carries into the group’s next full album era.

And fans will not have to wait long for the first answer.

October 26 Starts RIIZE’s Next Era

RIIZE has confirmed that it will release a new digital prologue single on October 26, 2026, ahead of its second full-length studio album scheduled for spring 2027.

The group revealed the plans during its third-anniversary fan meeting, “Ch. RIIZE: ON AIR,” at Inspire Arena in Incheon on September 12 and 13.

Edaily reported that about 23,000 fans attended the two-day event, where RIIZE performed songs including “Do Your Dance,” “Fly Up” and “Get A Guitar” before surprising the audience with a video announcing its future release schedule.

The timing means the October song will effectively serve as the opening move for the group’s second studio-album campaign.

That raises the stakes considerably.

RIIZE is no longer entering a comeback as an untested rookie act.

It now has million-selling albums, multiple 100-million-stream songs and a rapidly expanding live audience behind it.

Their First World Tour Drew 420,000 Fans

The group’s international growth has also become increasingly visible on the road.

The Korea Times, citing SM Entertainment, reported earlier this month that RIIZE’s 2026 touring activities had attracted approximately 420,000 fans across 21 destinations.

Members highlighted their Tokyo Dome performance, the final Seoul concert of their first world tour and appearances at Lollapalooza festivals in three Latin American countries among the most memorable moments of their third year together.

That touring footprint provides another explanation for the continued streaming life of songs such as “Love 119.”

The track remains part of RIIZE’s concert repertoire and regularly generates audience singalongs — meaning a song released in early 2024 continues to be exposed to new listeners as the group enters new markets.

The Bigger Story Isn’t Just 100 Million

A 100-million-stream milestone is easy to turn into a headline.

But what makes this one more significant is when it happened.

“Love 119” did not need to hit 100 million Spotify plays during its initial promotional push.

It reached the mark more than two and a half years after release.

During that time RIIZE released multiple new projects, expanded its touring footprint and moved into a new phase of its career.

Yet listeners kept returning to the 2024 single.

That type of long-tail consumption can be more valuable to an artist than a huge but short-lived streaming spike because it suggests the track is becoming part of a durable catalog.

RIIZE is now preparing to find out whether its next songs can achieve the same thing.

The October 26 prologue single will begin the road toward the group’s second studio album in spring 2027.

And by then, the biggest question may no longer be whether RIIZE can produce another hit.

It will be whether the next one can remain popular long enough to follow “Get A Guitar” and “Love 119” into the 100-million club.
