Meet Camille Summers-Valli, Charles Melton’s Wife and the Director Behind Hermès and Burberry Campaigns

Charles Melton may be the familiar face from Riverdale and Beef, but his wife Camille Summers-Valli has built an impressive creative career of her own — working as a director, filmmaker and photographer for major fashion brands, artists and international publications.

The couple have kept much of their relationship away from the spotlight, only becoming more public after welcoming their first child in March 2026. Melton later confirmed that Summers-Valli is his wife, quietly revealing that the pair had married while continuing to keep details of their private life largely out of public view.

Summers-Valli is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work spans fashion films, commercials, music videos, photography and documentary filmmaking.

Her client list includes some of the world’s biggest fashion and media names, including Hermès, Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier and The New York Times.

Her work has also taken her into the music industry, where she has directed videos for artists including Haim and BadBadNotGood.

One of her recent projects was Haim’s music video for “Relationships”, released in 2025.

Her commercial work has similarly attracted major attention.

Summers-Valli directed Burberry’s Highgrove Gardens campaign, featuring actors Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Carmichael and Sopé Dìrísù.

She has also worked on campaigns for brands including Coach, where she directed projects featuring Elle Fanning and Charles Melton, as well as a campaign for On featuring Zendaya.

Her connection to Melton therefore extends beyond their personal relationship.

The two have collaborated professionally, with Summers-Valli bringing her visual storytelling skills to projects involving her husband.

Despite working in highly visible fashion and entertainment circles, Summers-Valli has maintained a relatively low public profile compared with Melton.

She studied at Central Saint Martins in London, one of the world’s best-known institutions for art and design, and has developed an international career that has taken her between fashion, film, advertising and documentary work.

Documentary filmmaking has been an important part of her career.

Her directorial debut came with the 2015 documentary Big Mountain Diné Bikéyah, which focused on the Navajo community’s struggle to protect ancestral land from corporate and government interests.

That background helps explain the contrast in her portfolio.

While her commercial work includes luxury fashion campaigns and celebrity-led advertising, her filmmaking has also explored social and cultural issues.

Her work has earned recognition from major creative-industry organisations.

She received awards for her work on The New York Times campaign “The Truth Takes a Journalist”, while her music-video work has also received industry recognition.

In 2023, she won Video of the Year at the UK Music Video Awards for Mette’s “Mama’s Eyes”.

Her career has therefore developed across several different creative worlds rather than being tied to a single discipline.

Her relationship with Melton became public more clearly in 2026.

Summers-Valli announced her pregnancy in January with photographs showing the couple preparing to become parents.

In March, Melton shared the arrival of their first child, posting photographs of the new family while keeping their daughter’s identity private.

Melton later spoke warmly about becoming a father and about his relationship with Summers-Valli.

By May, he referred to her as his partner, fiancée, wife and girlfriend during an awards speech, before later more clearly identifying her as his wife in an interview.

The couple have continued to protect their daughter’s privacy, choosing not to publicly reveal her name or show her face.

Their low-key approach stands in contrast to Melton’s increasingly high-profile career.

The actor first became widely known for playing Reggie Mantle on Riverdale, before earning critical attention for his performance in May December.

His role in Netflix’s Beef earned him his first Emmy nomination in 2026, while he has also been linked to major upcoming projects, including a reported role in the live-action Naruto adaptation.

That makes Summers-Valli an increasingly interesting figure in her own right.

Rather than simply being known as the wife of a Hollywood actor, she has established a substantial creative career spanning luxury advertising, music videos, photography and documentary filmmaking.

Her work with Hermès, Burberry, The New York Times and other major names has placed her firmly within the international creative industry.

And while Melton’s acting career continues to rise, Summers-Valli is pursuing a similarly international path behind the camera.

Together, the pair represent a creative partnership that crosses Hollywood, fashion and visual storytelling — while still keeping their family life largely private.

For fans discovering her through Melton, the biggest surprise may be that Camille Summers-Valli was already an accomplished filmmaker long before she became known publicly as the actor’s wife.
