DAVAO CITY, Philippines — What could the Ayala Group be planning next in Mindanao?
Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, the chief executive officer of ACMobility and one of the younger-generation leaders of the Ayala Group, recently met with local officials in Davao City to explore potential partnerships that could support the city’s long-term development priorities.
But while the meeting has sparked interest over the possibility of a larger Ayala presence or new initiatives in Davao, officials have yet to announce any specific project, investment amount or formal agreement.
According to a report by Bilyonaryo, discussions centered on possible collaboration in education, healthcare, environmental protection, community development and sustainability. Davao City Third District Councilor Antoinette “Petite” Principe shared photos from the meeting and said the discussions explored how Ayala’s social infrastructure programs could potentially complement the city’s priorities.
No Project Announced Yet — But the Door Is Open
For now, the discussions appear to be exploratory.
Neither the Ayala Group nor Davao City officials have publicly announced a signed agreement, major investment package or specific development tied directly to the meeting.
