SINGAPORE — Apple’s latest iPhone launch has once again turned Singapore’s Orchard Road into a hotspot for technology fans, with customers queuing overnight outside Apple Orchard Road ahead of the arrival of the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The launch-day crowds underline the continuing appeal of Apple’s flagship iPhones, with some customers choosing to wait through the night rather than rely solely on online orders or later in-store availability.

Apple Orchard Road, located at 270 Orchard Road, opened at 8 a.m. on Sept. 18, with special launch-day operating hours listed by Apple.
For dedicated Apple fans, being among the first customers to receive a new device remains part of the excitement surrounding each annual iPhone generation.
The latest launch is particularly significant because Apple has introduced major hardware and software changes across the new Pro lineup.
iPhone 18 Pro Starts at S$1,899 in Singapore
Apple’s Singapore pricing puts the iPhone 18 Pro at S$1,899, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at S$2,099.
Both models come with storage options ranging from 256GB to 2TB, giving buyers substantially different price points depending on capacity.
Apple is also offering trade-in credits for eligible devices, with the company saying customers trading in an iPhone 13 or newer could receive between S$230 and S$1,615 in credit, depending on the device and its condition.
A Major Camera Upgrade
One of the headline changes in the iPhone 18 Pro series is its camera system.
Apple says the new 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera features variable aperture, giving users greater control over how much light enters the lens and expanding photographic options.
The company also highlights upgraded video capabilities and new Pro controls designed to provide more flexibility for photographers and creators.
That camera focus is part of Apple’s effort to position the Pro models not simply as communication devices but as increasingly capable mobile content-creation tools.
