DAMIAN HARDUNG WINS OVER PINOY FANS WITH ONE SIMPLE TAGALOG LINE—And His ‘MAXTON HALL’ Message Hits Even Harger

MANILA, Philippines — Maxton Hall star Damian Hardung has given his Filipino fans an early Christmas treat—and he did it in Tagalog.

During an interview with GMA Network’s Lyn Ching, the German actor behind James Beaufort was taught how to greet Filipino fans a “Merry Christmas,” a fitting moment considering how early the Christmas season begins in the Philippines.

Hardung nailed the greeting on his first attempt:

“Maligayang Pasko, Philippines!”

The simple Tagalog message quickly became one of the most memorable parts of his interaction with Filipino fans, but Hardung had something even bigger to share.

DAMIAN HAS A MESSAGE FOR ‘MAXTON HALL’ FANS

With Filipino viewers eagerly waiting for the next chapter of Ruby Bell and James Beaufort’s story, Hardung assured fans that the wait will be worth it.

“It’s worth the wait,” he said, confirming that the third and final season of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us will premiere on December 9, 2026.

Hardung also thanked Filipino fans for their continued support.

He described the journey surrounding the series as overwhelming and said he could not wait to hear what audiences think about the “last ride.”

That makes the December premiere particularly significant: fans aren’t simply waiting for another season—the upcoming six-episode run is officially being billed as the final chapter of Ruby and James’ story.

WHY FILIPINOS ARE SO INVESTED IN ‘MAXTON HALL’

Hardung plays James Beaufort, the wealthy and initially arrogant heir whose life becomes intertwined with scholarship student Ruby Bell, played by Harriet Herbig-Matten.

The German-language romantic drama is based on Mona Kasten’s bestselling book series and follows the complicated relationship between Ruby and James after Ruby discovers a secret at their elite school.

The series has become a major international streaming success.

According to Prime Video and its production partner UFA, Maxton Hall is the most successful international scripted Original series in Prime Video history, with the series available in more than 240 countries and regions.

Its first season also reached the No. 1 spot on Prime Video charts in more than 120 countries, helping turn Hardung and Herbig-Matten into internationally recognized stars.

SEASON 3 WILL BE THE FINAL CHAPTER

The upcoming third season will consist of six episodes and will premiere globally on Prime Video on December 9, 2026.

The final installment draws from the third book in Kasten’s trilogy, Save Us, bringing the television adaptation to the conclusion of the source material’s central story.

Recent promotional material has already teased an emotionally intense final chapter. Ruby’s future—including her Oxford ambitions—is put at risk following the dramatic events of Season 2, while James remains by her side.

AND DAMIAN HAS ANOTHER SURPRISE FOR FANS

Hardung’s connection with Filipino viewers may not be surprising given his interest in languages and different cultures.

During his conversation with Ching, he revealed that he has studied several languages and participated in exchange programs when he was younger. He studied Chinese and spent two months living in Beijing, while also learning Italian, alongside speaking English and German. He said he would also like to learn Spanish after spending considerable time traveling in South America.

So while “Maligayang Pasko, Philippines!” was only a short greeting, it landed as a memorable gesture for Filipino Maxton Hall fans.

And now, the bigger countdown begins.

December 9 isn’t just the return of James Beaufort and Ruby Bell—it marks their final ride.
