Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) customers who struggle to visit a bank during the workweek now have another option: selected BPI branches are open on Sundays.
BPI announced the Sunday banking schedule as part of its latest branch-service updates, giving customers additional opportunities to complete transactions on weekends. GMA News reported the development on August 20, 2026, citing BPI’s announcement.

According to BPI’s official Sunday branch schedule, the participating branches are:
- BPI Angeles Marquee Mall — Angeles City, Pampanga
- BPI Ayala Malls Legazpi — Legazpi City
- BPI Ayala Malls Serin — Tagaytay City
- BPI Ayala Malls Vermosa — Imus, Cavite
- BPI Cagayan De Oro Ayala Centrio — Cagayan de Oro
- BPI Davao Ayala Abreeza 2 — Davao City
- BPI Glorietta Mall Ground Level — Makati
- BPI Greenbelt 5 — Makati
- BPI Market Market — Taguig
- BPI One Ayala — Makati
- BPI Robinsons Gapan — Gapan City, Nueva Ecija
- BPI Rockwell — Makati
- BPI SBMA Harbor Point Mall — Subic Bay Freeport Zone
- BPI The District – Imus — Imus, Cavite
- BPI The District Dasmariñas — Dasmariñas, Cavite
The same 15 branches are listed on BPI’s official Sunday branch schedule, confirming the locations reported by GMA News.
But there’s an important catch
The announcement does not mean all BPI branches are switching to seven-day operations.
BPI specifically identifies selected branches for Sunday service. The bank also warns that branch schedules may change without prior notice because of unforeseen circumstances.
Customers should therefore check the official BPI branch schedule before heading to a branch, particularly when weather conditions could affect operations.
GMA News also reported that some branches may close because of inclement weather.
What are BPI’s regular banking hours?
For regular branches, BPI lists banking hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 2:30 p.m. check-clearing cut-off.
However, branches located inside malls or business parks may follow schedules set by the property’s administration.
That distinction is especially important for customers visiting one of the Sunday branches because several are located inside major shopping malls.
More weekend banking options
BPI’s current branch information also shows a separate list of branches operating on Saturdays, meaning customers have more weekend options than simply the Sunday locations.
The bank maintains separate weekday, Saturday and Sunday branch schedules, allowing customers to check which locations are operating on a particular day.
For customers who don’t need an in-person transaction, BPI also continues to promote its digital banking services, including transfers, bill payments and other account-management functions through BPI Online and the BPI app.

The safest move is to verify the branch’s schedule before traveling.
BPI’s official branch locator provides information on branch, ATM and cash-accept-machine locations, while its Sunday schedule carries a warning that operating schedules can change without prior notice.
For customers who work Monday through Friday, the change could make weekend banking considerably more convenient—but Sunday banking remains limited to selected branches, not the entire BPI network.
