SEOUL — September 4, 2026 — BLACKPINK may have just marked its 10th anniversary, but the members are showing that their individual careers are far from slowing down.
In fact, the group’s solo era has entered another explosive phase: Jennie has released “Fallen Angel,” Lisa has unveiled “SaWaDiKa,” and Jisoo has now dropped “Click” — with all three releases arriving within days of one another.
The timing is particularly striking for BLINKs. BLACKPINK celebrated its 10th debut anniversary on August 8, following its Deadline group activities, and the members are now once again commanding attention individually.
Here’s where each BLACKPINK member stands in the latest solo chapter.
JENNIE: A darker side emerges with ‘Fallen Angel’
Jennie kicked off the latest wave on August 28 with Fallen Angel, her new digital EP released through OA Entertainment.
The digital edition contains three songs: “FALLEN ANGEL,” “HEAVEN” and “Less Than a Lover.” Jennie’s agency described the project as coming from a personal place and as an expression of her true self.
The project also has a physical edition that expands the release to six tracks, adding “sweettooth,” “lockitdown” and “Face.”
“Less Than a Lover,” which arrived ahead of the EP, represented a noticeably more restrained musical direction, using lo-fi guitar and vintage keyboard textures instead of relying entirely on the high-energy pop sound associated with some of Jennie’s previous work.
The new EP follows Jennie’s 2025 debut studio album Ruby, giving fans another indication that her solo identity continues to evolve beyond BLACKPINK’s group sound.
LISA: ‘SaWaDiKa’ puts her Thai identity front and center
Lisa followed with “SaWaDiKa,” released on September 3 and serving as the lead single from her upcoming six-track EP Press Play.
The title draws from the Thai greeting “sawasdee ka,” immediately connecting the song to Lisa’s Thai heritage.
The track leans into hip-hop and showcases Lisa’s rap-focused performance style, while the larger Press Play project is scheduled for October 23, 2026.
And Lisa’s solo expansion doesn’t stop at music.
Her documentary “Always Lalisa” is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 12 and is set to explore her solo career, creative development and acting journey, including her role in HBO’s The White Lotus. The film is also slated to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Lisa is also preparing for her “VIVA LA LISA” Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November.
JISOO: ‘Click’ opens the door to her first full-length solo album
Then came Jisoo.
On September 4, she released “Click,” her latest solo single and the first pre-release track from her upcoming full-length solo album.
The release is significant because Jisoo is the last BLACKPINK member to launch a full-length solo album since the members pursued individual activities outside YG Entertainment.
“Click” also marks a new creative direction for Jisoo. According to her agency, the song explores the instinctive attraction between two people who know they perhaps should not be drawn to each other—but naturally “click” anyway.
The music video was directed by Joseph Kahn, whose credits include major global pop acts, and was filmed in Bangkok.
Jisoo’s release follows her 2025 EP Amortage and her collaboration with Zayn Malik, “Eyes Closed.” The latter debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, according to The Korea Herald.
And then there’s ROSÉ…
Rosé is currently the only BLACKPINK member without an announced new solo music release for 2026, according to The Korea Herald’s latest roundup.
That does not mean she has stepped away from her solo career.
Her 2024 debut studio album rosie remains a major milestone, particularly after “APT.” with Bruno Mars became the biggest solo hit of her career. The song reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received three Grammy nominations for the 2026 awards.
So while Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo are currently driving the newest wave of BLACKPINK solo releases, Rosé remains a major force in the group’s individual musical legacy.
Three BLACKPINK members. Two weeks. A whole new solo chapter.
The speed of the releases is what makes this moment especially notable.
Jennie’s “Fallen Angel” arrived August 28. Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” followed September 3. Jisoo’s “Click” landed September 4.
That means three members have released new solo music in just over a week. Korea Times described September as an unusually crowded period for female K-pop solo releases, with Lisa and Jisoo among the major names dominating the calendar.
Yonhap also confirmed that Lisa and Jisoo released their new singles on the same day, making September 4 an unusually big day for BLACKPINK’s individual careers.

The bigger picture
What makes BLACKPINK’s solo careers increasingly interesting is that the four members are no longer simply reproducing the group’s formula individually.
Jennie is experimenting with mood and personal expression. Lisa is leaning harder into global pop, hip-hop and her Thai roots. Jisoo is moving toward a full-length solo era. Rosé has established a highly personal singer-songwriter identity.
That diversity may ultimately be BLACKPINK’s biggest strength: the members can operate as four distinct solo artists while retaining the enormous global identity they built together.
And with Jisoo’s first full-length album still ahead and Lisa’s Press Play arriving in October, this solo chapter may only be getting started.
