Twilight star Taylor Lautner has entered a new chapter away from the spotlight as he and his wife, Tay Lautner, welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Lennon Taylor Lautner.
The couple announced the arrival on September 23, revealing that their daughter was born one week earlier on September 16, 2026. In a joint social media post, they introduced her with the nickname “Lenny” and shared a glimpse of the newborn.
The baby’s name also carries a special connection to her parents. Both Taylor and Tay share the first name Taylor, and their daughter has Taylor as her middle name. The couple had hinted at the name connection when they announced the pregnancy in March with the playful caption, “What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?”
The couple later revealed in June that they were expecting a girl. Taylor had previously said that becoming a father to a daughter was something he had hoped for, making the birth particularly meaningful for the actor.
Taylor Lautner, 34, became internationally famous after portraying werewolf Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga film franchise alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. His other acting credits include The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Valentine’s Day, Scream Queens and Cuckoo.
Lautner and Tay married in November 2022 after several years together. Tay, whose maiden name is Dome, is a registered nurse and has also co-hosted The Squeeze, a podcast focused on mental health and wellbeing with her husband.
Their pregnancy announcement earlier this year marked the beginning of a closely followed transition into parenthood. Tay also shared parts of her pregnancy journey publicly, including preparations for their daughter and a baby shower held in August.
The arrival of Lennon has since drawn congratulations from former Twilight co-stars and other celebrities, including Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz.
For Lautner, the milestone comes more than a decade after The Twilight Saga concluded, as he has increasingly taken on projects outside traditional acting, including podcasting and conversations around mental health.
Now, the spotlight is shifting from Jacob Black to Taylor Lautner’s newest role: first-time father.
The bigger question now is how Lautner’s new life as a father will shape the next chapter of his career and public life as he balances Hollywood with family.
