BTS member Jimin has reached another major milestone as his solo hit “Like Crazy” surpasses 1 billion filtered streams on Spotify, making history as the first fully Korean-language song to reach the mark on the platform.
Jimin’s achievement was announced by Big Hit Music on September 17, 2026, with the milestone adding another chapter to the global success of his solo career.
‘Like Crazy’ Makes Korean Music History
Released in March 2023 as the lead single from Jimin’s debut solo album “FACE,” “Like Crazy” quickly became one of the biggest solo releases by a BTS member.
The synth-pop track originally made history by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Jimin the first member of BTS—and the first Korean-language solo song by a K-pop solo act—to reach the top of the U.S. chart.
Now, more than three years after its release, the song has added another landmark: 1 billion filtered Spotify streams, a milestone no fully Korean-language song had previously reached.
A Rare Streaming Achievement for a Korean Soloist
The latest milestone further underscores the long-term performance of Jimin’s solo catalog.
Korean entertainment outlet Star News reported that “Like Crazy” became the first Korean-language song to pass 1 billion filtered Spotify streams. The report also noted that Jimin’s later solo title track “Who,” from his 2024 album MUSE, has surpassed 2.5 billion filtered streams.
That means Jimin has achieved billion-stream milestones with multiple solo songs, without relying on Western artists as featured collaborators on those tracks.
From ‘FACE’ to Global Solo Success
“Like Crazy” was the centerpiece of Jimin’s first solo era following BTS members’ individual projects.
The song’s success extended well beyond Spotify. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 and spent five weeks on the chart, while FACE reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. “Like Crazy” also reached the top 10 of the UK Official Singles Chart and topped iTunes charts across numerous territories.
The combination of U.S. chart success and sustained streaming has helped “Like Crazy” remain one of Jimin’s defining solo tracks years after its original release.
Jimin Continues to Build Solo Streaming Records
The new Spotify milestone comes after a series of achievements for Jimin’s solo catalog.
His 2024 single “Who” has also generated major streaming numbers, with reports in 2026 documenting its continued dominance across Spotify markets.
Together, “Like Crazy” and “Who” demonstrate the sustained streaming power of Jimin’s solo releases and the continued global reach of Korean-language pop music.
For BTS fans, the latest achievement is another reminder that Jimin’s solo career has continued to generate major milestones even years after “Like Crazy” first took over the charts.
And with the song now officially joining the billion-stream club, Jimin has once again turned a solo release into a piece of K-pop history.
