Former TVB Actress Margaret Chung Addresses Health Concerns After ICU Admission

Former Hong Kong actress Margaret Chung has addressed concerns about her health after she was admitted to an intensive care unit following a sudden medical emergency.

The 49-year-old was reportedly taken to the ICU at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Medical Centre on Sept 11.

Chung later released a statement on Instagram thanking people for their messages, prayers and well wishes during what she described as an “arduous period” in her life.

She said her priority was her health, spending time with loved ones and being with her family as they dealt with the situation together.

While acknowledging the public’s concern, Chung asked the media and public to respect her privacy and that of her family. She has not disclosed details about her medical condition.

Singer-actress Toby Leung, one of Chung’s close friends, was among those seen at the hospital. She later reassured reporters that Chung was doing “okay” and “well”.

Another close friend, actress Sherming Yiu, also said their group of friends would continue to support and accompany Chung during this difficult period.

Chung stepped away from the entertainment industry years ago and went on to focus on family life and teaching yoga.

She became known for her work with TVB in the 1990s and 2000s, appearing in several Hong Kong television productions before leaving show business.

Her recent health concerns have prompted messages of support from former colleagues and fans, while Chung continues to ask for space to focus on her recovery and family.
