5 Cebu Graduates Land in Top 10 of September 2026 Electrical Engineer Exam

Five graduates from Cebu-based universities have secured places in the Top 10 of the September 2026 Registered Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination, giving Cebu a strong showing in this year’s national board exam.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced the results on September 14, with Cebu graduates occupying five of the country’s top 10 spots.

Cebu graduate shares Top 1

Charles Anthony Saceda Santillan of Cebu Institute of Technology-University shared the No. 1 spot with Dan Joel Monte De Leon of Palompon Institute of Technology.

Both examinees earned the highest ranking in the national examination.

Four other graduates from Cebu also placed among the country’s best-performing examinees.

Jeff Kepler Sombilon Teves of Cebu Technological University-Tuburan ranked No. 2.

Kienth Vincent Espere Oracion of Cebu Institute of Technology-University placed No. 3.

Niño Louie Pala Verame, also from Cebu Institute of Technology-University, ranked No. 6.

Jeremiah Gecana Lausa of Cebu Technological University-Main completed Cebu’s strong showing at No. 9.

Cebu schools dominate the rankings

Cebu Institute of Technology-University produced three of the five Cebu-based topnotchers, including the examinee who shared the national Top 1 position.

Cebu Technological University produced the other two, with one graduate from its Tuburan campus and another from its main campus.

The results highlight the continued performance of Cebu’s engineering schools in professional licensure examinations.

Having five graduates in the national Top 10 also gives Cebu one of the strongest regional representations in the September examination.

A major achievement for the graduates

Ranking among the country’s highest-scoring examinees is a significant achievement after the intensive preparation required for the electrical engineering licensure examination.

The examination tests aspiring electrical engineers on a broad range of technical knowledge and professional competencies required for practice.

For the five Cebu graduates, their Top 10 finishes place them among the country’s strongest performers in the latest licensure examination.

Their results are also expected to bring recognition to their respective universities, particularly Cebu Institute of Technology-University and Cebu Technological University.

With one graduate sharing the top spot and four others also breaking into the national Top 10, Cebu has emerged as a major highlight of the September 2026 electrical engineer board exam results.
