A total of 330 new police recruits have taken their oath of office under the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO-7) in Central Visayas.
The recruits took part in an oath-taking ceremony at the Regional Training Center 7 in Barangay Jugan, Consolacion, Cebu, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The ceremony was led by PRO-7 Director Police Brigadier General Arnold Abad.
The new personnel consist of 300 men and 30 women who successfully completed the application process under the Philippine National Police’s Attrition and Regular Recruitment Program.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, the recruits will undergo the six-month Public Safety Basic Recruit Course, which will prepare them for their duties as police officers.
During the ceremony, Abad reminded the recruits that joining the police service carries a responsibility to protect the public’s trust.
He urged the new personnel to serve Filipinos with integrity and dedication and to uphold the confidence placed in them as members of the police force.
Police Brigadier General Isagani Fetizanan, PRO-7 Deputy Regional Director for Administration, along with other regional office officials and staff, also attended the ceremony.
