MANILA, Philippines — Filipino fans of Korean star So Ji-sub have another reason to mark their calendars as the acclaimed actor is officially returning to Manila this November for his 2026 Asia Fanmeeting Tour, “Soulmate The Timeless.”
So Ji-sub will meet his Filipino fans on November 5, 2026, at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, according to the tour announcement released Tuesday, September 1. Live Nation Philippines also confirmed the Manila stop and said more details would be announced soon.
The Manila appearance will be part of a wider Asian tour that begins in Macau on October 24, followed by Manila on November 5, Taipei on November 7, Jakarta on November 13, and Bangkok on November 15.
So Ji-sub is finally coming back
The upcoming fan meeting marks So Ji-sub’s first Manila return since 2019, when he held the Manila stop of his “Hello” Asia Tour. ABS-CBN previously reported on his 2019 fan meeting, which took place in March of that year.
That means Filipino fans have been waiting roughly seven years for another chance to see the Korean actor in person.
GMA News likewise reported that the New Frontier Theater will host the November 5 event, while noting that ticketing information has yet to be released.
For now, fans will have to wait for the local promoter to reveal the remaining details, including ticket prices, sale dates and other event information.
A timely return for the Korean star
So Ji-sub’s Manila return comes at an especially high-profile point in his career.
The actor recently starred as Manager Kim in the Korean action series Agent Kim Reactivated, a role that has helped put him back in the spotlight with audiences both in South Korea and internationally. GMA Entertainment and Philstar both highlighted the series among his recent projects.
Korean entertainment outlet StarNews reported that the actor’s 2026 Asian fan meeting tour was officially announced by his agency on September 1, under the title “Soulmate The Timeless.” The outlet also reported the same five-city schedule spanning Macau, Manila, Taipei, Jakarta and Bangkok.
The tour title is also likely to resonate with longtime fans who have followed So Ji-sub throughout his career, from earlier Hallyu hits such as I’m Sorry, I Love You and Memories of Bali to later dramas including The Master’s Sun, Oh My Venus, Doctor Lawyer and Mercy for None.
