Shuvee Etrata, Sofia Pablo and More Stars Bring Love Stories to TV—But What Tales Will They Tell?

MANILA, Philippines — Some of the Philippines’ most talked-about young stars are set to bring stories of romance, heartbreak and hope to a whole new audience.

Shuvee Etrata, Ashley Sarmiento, Sofia Pablo, Anthony Constantino, Rave Victoria, and Iñigo Jose are among the celebrities announced as upcoming guest stars on the television adaptation of “Barangay Love Stories,” GMA News reported on Friday, August 29.

GMA Public Affairs announced the lineup through social media, confirming that the stars will help bring emotionally charged stories to life when the program begins airing its new episodes on September 12 at 4 p.m. on GMA Network.

The announcement brings together several personalities with strong followings, making the upcoming television run one to watch for fans of Filipino drama and romance.

From Radio and Podcast Favorite to Television

Hosted by the beloved Papa Dudut, “Barangay Love Stories” has long connected with listeners through stories inspired by the real-life experiences shared by its audience. Its signature mix of love, life, sacrifice and hope has helped turn the program into one of the country’s most recognizable storytelling platforms.

The show’s move to television marks another major chapter for the franchise. Earlier this month, GMA announced that “Barangay Love Stories” would make its TV debut in September, with stories from the popular radio and podcast format being brought to life by stars from both inside and outside the Kapuso network.

Its popularity is no small feat. GMA previously said the podcast surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify Philippines and received a Spotify Creator Milestone Award in 2025, while the show has continued to maintain a significant following across podcast platforms.

Fan Favorites Take Center Stage

The guest lineup is likely to generate excitement among fans, particularly with the inclusion of Shuvee Etrata, whose rise in popularity has made her one of the more closely watched young Kapuso personalities.

Shuvee’s journey—from her early struggles in Manila to becoming a familiar face on television—has resonated with many viewers. Her story was even featured in a special “Magpakailanman” episode in 2025, highlighting the challenges and sacrifices behind her showbiz journey.

Meanwhile, Sofia Pablo and Ashley Sarmiento have also built a friendship that viewers got to see develop during their time connected to “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” adding another layer of fan interest to their participation in the upcoming program.

With a cast that includes rising stars and familiar faces, “Barangay Love Stories” appears ready to combine the emotional pull of real-life-inspired storytelling with the star power of television.

Will These Stories Make Viewers Fall in Love All Over Again?

For years, listeners have turned to Papa Dudut’s storytelling for tales that capture the highs and lows of relationships—stories of finding love, losing it, fighting for it and, sometimes, learning when to let go.

Now, those stories are getting faces, voices and performances from some of today’s popular young celebrities.

But with Shuvee, Sofia, Ashley and more stars stepping into these unforgettable tales, one question remains: Which love story will leave viewers talking long after the episode ends?

Fans can find out when the upcoming episodes of “Barangay Love Stories” begin airing on September 12 at 4 p.m. on GMA Network.
