Singaporean celebrity couple Nick Teo and Hong Ling are expecting a baby girl, turning their much-anticipated gender reveal into another joyful milestone after announcing their pregnancy just weeks ago.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on Nov. 2, 2026, after teasing fans the previous day and asking them to guess whether their first child would be a boy or a girl.
A pink reveal confirms their baby is a girl
The gender reveal was staged in a car park, where two cars represented the possible outcomes — one decorated with a pink ribbon and the other with a blue ribbon.
As the cars moved forward, the blue-ribbon car stopped while the pink-ribbon car continued. Nick immediately realised what that meant and exclaimed that they were having a girl.
The couple then embraced before opening the car’s trunk, which was filled with pink balloons.
Nick also marked the occasion with a playful message, joking that the family would soon welcome a “new boss” while teasing that Hong would remain the “ultimate big boss.”
The light-hearted announcement quickly drew congratulations from fellow Singapore entertainment personalities.
From pregnancy announcement to baby girl
The gender reveal comes about six weeks after the couple announced that they were expecting their first child.
On Sept. 22, Nick and Hong shared their pregnancy news through an Instagram video featuring their three cats before revealing ultrasound images and announcing that their family would be growing by one.
The couple had discovered the pregnancy months earlier while travelling. Hong had taken a pregnancy test in an airport toilet, while Nick waited outside anxiously for the result.
According to The Straits Times, Hong was about three months pregnant when the couple made their announcement, with the baby expected in 2027.
The announcement comes after a difficult chapter
The pregnancy and gender reveal carry particular significance for the couple because Hong previously opened up about experiencing a miscarriage in February 2025.
She later revealed that she had been about 11 weeks pregnant when she experienced bleeding and was told by a doctor that the foetus no longer had a heartbeat.
Hong and Nick said they needed time to process the loss before speaking publicly about it.
Their current pregnancy therefore represents a new chapter for the couple as they prepare to become parents for the first time.

Nick, 37, and Hong, 32, married in December 2023 after being together for years.
The pair have also continued to work together professionally. They are currently starring in the Singapore crime drama In His Hands, which airs on Channel 8 and is available on mewatch.
Their relationship has therefore evolved from long-time partners and co-stars to husband and wife — and now soon-to-be parents.
And with the gender reveal confirming that their first child will be a girl, their next chapter is already looking very different.
The ‘new boss’ is coming
For now, Nick and Hong appear to be enjoying the excitement surrounding their growing family.
The gender reveal may have answered the biggest question fans had been asking — boy or girl?
But the bigger questions are only beginning.
