Natalie Portman has reportedly welcomed her third child, marking her first baby with French musician and producer Tanguy Destable.
According to PEOPLE, a source confirmed that the Oscar-winning actress gave birth in Paris last month. The news was subsequently reported by several entertainment outlets, including Entertainment Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter, Vogue and The Independent.
However, Portman and Destable have not publicly announced the baby’s arrival themselves, and details such as the child’s name and sex remain private.
The newborn joins Portman’s two older children, 15-year-old son Aleph and 9-year-old daughter Amalia, whom she shares with her former husband, choreographer and director Benjamin Millepied. Portman and Millepied finalized their divorce in 2024 after more than a decade together.
A pregnancy Portman described with gratitude
Portman revealed she was pregnant with her third child in April during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. At the time, she said she and Destable were excited about becoming parents together and described the pregnancy as a privilege and a miracle.
The actress also spoke candidly about her perspective on pregnancy and fertility. Growing up with a father who is a fertility doctor, Portman said she had long been aware of how difficult becoming pregnant can be for some people.
She said the experience gave her a deeper sense of gratitude and encouraged her to approach the pregnancy with sensitivity toward people who have struggled with fertility.
Portman also acknowledged that this pregnancy felt different from her earlier experiences with motherhood. She said she was more aware of the significance of the moment and suggested that it could be her final pregnancy, making her determined to appreciate it fully.
Who is Tanguy Destable?
Destable is a French electronic musician and producer who performs under the name Tepr. He has worked in French electronic music and has been associated with the group Yelle, while also collaborating with artists and fashion projects throughout his career.
Portman and Destable were first publicly linked in 2025. Despite their high-profile status, the pair have largely kept their relationship away from the spotlight.
The couple’s new baby also adds another layer to what has become a blended family. Destable has two sons from a previous relationship with French actress Louise Bourgoin, according to entertainment reports.
Portman kept much of the pregnancy private
Although Portman confirmed her pregnancy earlier this year, she largely maintained a low-key approach throughout the months that followed.
In July, she shared a photograph of herself cradling her baby bump in Paris, writing that she was “counting the days” until meeting the baby.
Reports later emerged of Portman and Destable being seen together in Paris, with photographs showing the couple with their newborn.
For now, however, the couple appear to be keeping the newest addition to their family out of the public eye.
Neither the baby’s name nor sex has been disclosed, and Portman has yet to make a public announcement confirming the birth herself.
