Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto are once again bringing their much-loved JoshLia chemistry to the big screen, but their latest reunion is proving to be more challenging than simply stepping back in front of the cameras together.
The former couple is set to star in “Always Yours, Never Mine,” an upcoming romance-drama from ABS-CBN Studios and Star Cinema. The film is directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, with a story by Olivia Lamasan, Trishtan Perez, and Vanessa Valdez. It is scheduled to open in Philippine cinemas on September 30, 2026.
According to ABS-CBN Entertainment’s latest report, the project presented Joshua and Julia with a different kind of challenge as actors. Their reunion comes after years of personal and professional growth, making their return as an onscreen pair a highly anticipated moment for fans of JoshLia.
The interest surrounding the movie has been building since its screen-test release in August. That anticipation intensified when Joshua and Julia reunited publicly for the movie’s promotional activities and later unveiled its official poster in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. The poster reveal was held along the historic Calle Crisologo, one of the locations used during filming.
