A rare John Cena trading card has made wrestling collectibles history after selling for US$329,400, setting what Goldin described as the highest public sale ever recorded for a wrestling card.
The one-of-one 2025 Topps Royalty WWE WrestleMania Patch Autographs card features Cena’s signature and a multicolored patch taken from gear worn at WrestleMania 41. The final price included the winning US$270,000 auction bid plus the buyer’s premium.
The card commemorates a major moment in Cena’s wrestling career. At WrestleMania 41 in April 2025, he defeated Cody Rhodes to capture his 17th WWE Championship, moving past Ric Flair’s previous record of 16 world titles.
The collectible was offered through Goldin after going up for auction in August. Its one-of-one designation, authenticated autograph and WrestleMania-used memorabilia helped make it one of the most sought-after Cena cards in the hobby.
Goldin confirmed the US$329,400 result as a record for a publicly sold wrestling card, highlighting the growing value of premium sports collectibles tied to major moments in wrestling history.
The sale also comes after Cena’s retirement from professional wrestling in December 2025 following a 23-year WWE career. His continued popularity in Hollywood and wrestling has kept demand for his memorabilia strong, with this latest auction turning one of his most significant career moments into a record-setting collectible.
