SEOUL — BLACKPINK’s Jennie has reached another major milestone on the U.S. music charts as “Dracula,” her collaboration with Australian psychedelic music project Tame Impala, becomes the longest-running song by or featuring a K-pop artist inside the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10.
The track remained at No. 6 for a second consecutive week in the latest Billboard Hot 100 update, extending its Top-10 run to 16 weeks.
That puts “Dracula” ahead of BTS’s “Butter,” which previously held the record with 15 weeks in the Top 10.
A New Billboard Benchmark for K-Pop
The achievement adds another chapter to Jennie’s rapidly expanding solo chart record.
“Dracula” originally appeared as a Tame Impala track before a Jennie-featured remix helped propel the song to a much wider audience. The collaboration subsequently became a major U.S. chart success.
The song reached a No. 5 peak on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year, while its sustained presence in the Top 10 has now become its most notable chart achievement.
From Remix to Global Hit
The Jennie version of “Dracula” gained momentum after its release in February, with the track benefiting from renewed attention on short-form video platforms.
That online momentum translated into strong chart performance, helping the song climb the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually establish itself as one of Jennie’s biggest solo-era successes.
Billboard previously reported that “Dracula” also achieved major results across genre-specific charts, illustrating how the collaboration moved beyond the conventional boundaries of K-pop.
Jennie’s Solo Era Continues to Expand
The milestone is particularly significant because “Dracula” is a collaboration rather than a BLACKPINK group release.
Jennie had already established herself as a solo Billboard Hot 100 artist, but the Tame Impala collaboration has taken that chart presence to another level.
When “Dracula” first entered the Hot 100 Top 10 in May, it became Jennie’s highest-charting song as a solo artist at the time, reaching No. 10 before eventually climbing higher.
Her success also adds to the broader Billboard achievements of BLACKPINK members pursuing individual projects.
BTS Record Falls After Four Years
The previous K-pop Top-10 longevity record belonged to BTS and “Butter,” one of the group’s biggest international hits.
“Butter” had maintained a 15-week Top-10 run, a benchmark that stood until “Dracula” reached its 16th week.
The development illustrates how K-pop’s presence on the U.S. singles chart has expanded from group-driven achievements to increasingly prominent individual and cross-genre collaborations.
What Comes Next for “Dracula”?
With “Dracula” still sitting at No. 6, the song remains inside the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 rather than merely holding a historical record.
Its continued performance will determine how much further Jennie and Tame Impala can extend the new benchmark.
For Jennie, however, the milestone is already significant: “Dracula” has moved from a high-profile collaboration into Billboard history, overtaking a record previously held by one of K-pop’s biggest groups.
