Alex Gonzaga Finally Welcomes Baby Boy After Three Miscarriages — But Her Final Months of Pregnancy Were Far From Easy

MANILA, Philippines — After years of heartbreak, prayers and an unexpectedly difficult pregnancy, Alex Gonzaga and husband Mikee Morada have finally entered a new chapter as parents.

The actress, television personality and content creator publicly introduced their first child, a baby boy, in an emotional social media post on Wednesday, September 2.

“Now there are three of us, with our very own little baby boy,” Gonzaga wrote alongside a video showing intimate moments between the new parents and their newborn son. The clip also offered followers one of their first clear glimpses of the baby’s face.

The birth is especially significant for Gonzaga and Morada, currently the vice mayor of Lipa City, after the couple openly shared their long and painful journey toward becoming parents.

A Baby After Three Pregnancy Losses

Gonzaga announced in May 2026 that she was pregnant after experiencing three previous miscarriages.

At the time, she revealed that she and Morada had been preparing to undergo in vitro fertilization, or IVF, when she became pregnant naturally.

The couple said they had continued hoping for a child despite nearly six years of waiting and the emotional toll of their previous losses. Their pregnancy announcement quickly became one of Gonzaga’s most personal social media posts, as it documented parts of the couple’s fertility journey before revealing her growing baby bump.

But reaching the final months of the pregnancy came with another set of challenges.

Bed Rest and Gestational Diabetes

In her August 30 vlog, “My Pregnant Life,” Gonzaga revealed that she had been placed on total bed rest in late June after doctors discovered a small opening in her cervix.

By July, at the beginning of her third trimester, Gonzaga said she had also developed gestational diabetes, requiring her to regularly monitor her blood-sugar levels before and after eating.

Despite those complications, the vlog showed Gonzaga and Morada trying to enjoy the quieter moments of the pregnancy at home, including eating meals together, talking and singing to their unborn child.

Toward the end of the vlog, Gonzaga confirmed that she had already safely delivered their baby boy.

Family Initially Kept the Details Private

Speculation that Gonzaga had given birth began days earlier after she uploaded maternity photos on August 25 and wrote about how much she would miss carrying her baby.

PEP later reported that Gonzaga’s mother, popularly known as Mommy Pinty, confirmed that her daughter had indeed welcomed a baby boy, although the family initially kept details surrounding the delivery private.

Some later entertainment reports have given a specific August birth date, while earlier reports only established that Gonzaga had delivered sometime in August. Because the initial accounts did not consistently identify the exact date, the couple’s September 2 public reveal remains the clearest confirmed milestone for when they formally introduced their son to followers.

Toni Gonzaga Celebrates Becoming ‘Tata’

The celebration has extended throughout the Gonzaga family.

Alex’s older sister, actress and television host Toni Gonzaga, also shared a photo holding her newborn nephew and celebrated becoming an aunt, writing, “Finally a TATA!”

For Alex and Mikee, however, the arrival represents far more than another celebrity birth announcement.

Their journey has played out publicly through repeated pregnancy losses, preparations for fertility treatment, a surprise natural pregnancy and medical complications that forced Gonzaga to spend part of her final trimester on bed rest.

Now, after years of uncertainty, the couple who spent so long hoping to become parents can finally say what Gonzaga told millions of followers in her announcement:

They are a family of three.
