MANILA/SINGAPORE — BLACKPINK’s Jennie is opening another chapter of her solo career—and this time, she is promising fans something notably personal.
The K-pop superstar will release her new digital EP, Fallen Angel, on Friday, August 28, 2026, through her own label Odd Atelier (OA Entertainment) in collaboration with Columbia Records. The project will contain three tracks: “FALLEN ANGEL,” “HEAVEN,” and “Less than a Lover.”
The EP is scheduled to arrive at 1 p.m. Korea Standard Time (KST), or 12 midnight Eastern Time, according to the official release notice. A physical edition is also planned for a later date, according to Yonhap.
But the music isn’t the only thing generating buzz.
A more personal side of Jennie
OA Entertainment described Fallen Angel as a project coming from a “very personal place” and representing Jennie’s truest self-expression. That description has fueled anticipation among fans eager to see how the singer will continue developing her identity outside BLACKPINK.
The title itself—Fallen Angel—has already sparked curiosity, particularly as Jennie prepares to introduce a new visual and musical direction.
The title track will also receive its own music video on August 28, giving fans a simultaneous music-and-visual launch when the EP arrives.

“Less than a Lover” is not entirely new to fans. The song was released ahead of the EP, giving listeners an early preview of Jennie’s latest musical direction.
The addition of “HEAVEN” and the title track completes the three-song digital project.
Jennie’s solo momentum continues
Fallen Angel follows Jennie’s 2025 solo album Ruby, her first full-length studio album, which featured collaborations with international artists including Dua Lipa, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis and FKJ.
Her solo activity has continued alongside BLACKPINK’s group schedule.
BLACKPINK returned earlier this year with the mini-album Deadline, while the group’s world tour concluded in Hong Kong on January 26, 2026.
Jennie has also remained visible on the global music scene through her appearance on the remix of Tame Impala’s “Dracula.” Pitchfork reported that the remix had reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 after previously peaking at No. 5.
The countdown is officially on
For BLINKs, the timing makes Fallen Angel another major moment in a year already packed with BLACKPINK activity and solo releases.
Jennie has now given fans the title, the tracklist, the release date and a promise of a new music video—but the biggest question remains unanswered:
