SINGAPORE — September 5, 2026 — The Singapore Police Force is appealing for information on the whereabouts of 83-year-old Seah Miang Hin, who has been reported missing after he was last seen in the Katong area on Friday, Sept. 4.
Police said Seah was last seen near Block 14 Haig Road at about 11.50am on Sept. 4. The location is home to Haig Road Market and Food Centre.
The appeal comes as his family grows increasingly concerned about his safety.
Seah’s daughter, Deborah, told AsiaOne that her father is believed to have dementia and also suffers from high blood pressure, for which he needs to take medication regularly.
What Seah was wearing
At the time he was last seen, Seah was wearing a red-and-white checkered shirt and black trousers, according to police.
Members of the public who may have seen him in the Katong, Haig Road or surrounding areas are urged to remain alert and contact the authorities if they have information that could help establish his whereabouts.
The police have asked anyone with information to call the Police Hotline at 1800-255-0000.
Information can also be submitted online through the Singapore Police Force’s I-Witness service. The police said information provided would be kept strictly confidential.

Seah was last seen around lunchtime near Haig Road, meaning people who were in the area on Sept. 4 may potentially have encountered him without realising he had been reported missing.
Anyone who remembers seeing an elderly man matching his description, particularly around Haig Road, Katong and nearby streets, should pass the information to police rather than attempting to make assumptions about where he may have gone.
