K-pop girl group Hearts2Hearts is bringing its Japanese debut hit back to Korean fans with a new Korean-language version of “ICONIC HEART.”
Released October 5 through major music streaming platforms, “ICONIC HEART (Korean Ver.)” gives the group’s first Japanese single a fresh lyrical interpretation while maintaining the bright, energetic sound that helped the original gain attention in Japan.
The song is built around a Jersey club-inspired dance sound, combining bright synthesizers with bouncy beats. Its lyrics capture the excitement of moving toward a bigger world together, reflecting Hearts2Hearts’ youthful and playful musical identity.
From Japan’s Charts to Korean Music Shows
The Korean version arrives after the original “ICONIC HEART” made an impressive start in Japan.
Released as Hearts2Hearts’ first Japanese single in August, the track reached No. 2 on both the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and Oricon Weekly Combined Singles Chart. It also climbed to No. 2 on Billboard Japan’s Hot 100 and Top Singles Sales charts. The single sold 65,176 copies in its first week, according to SM Entertainment.
That success has given the Korean version strong momentum as the group shifts its attention back toward domestic promotions.
Hearts2Hearts first performed the Korean version on October 2 at Spotify CLOSER, a special concert held in Seoul in partnership with Spotify. The performance gave fans an early taste of the newly translated track before its official digital release.
The group is also scheduled to perform “ICONIC HEART (Korean Ver.)” on Korean music programs, extending the song’s promotional run beyond its Japanese debut campaign.
Hearts2Hearts Builds on a Fast-Rising 2026
The new release adds another chapter to what has already been a busy year for the eight-member group.
Hearts2Hearts debuted in February 2025 with “The Chase” and released its second EP, “Lemon Tang,” in June 2026. According to SM Entertainment, “The Chase,” “Style” and “Rude!” have each surpassed 100 million Spotify streams.
The group officially entered Japan with “ICONIC HEART” in August, quickly establishing a strong chart presence and demonstrating that its appeal is extending beyond South Korea.
Now, with a Korean version of the Japanese debut single, Hearts2Hearts is effectively connecting the two markets through the same song — while giving domestic fans a version designed specifically for them.
A New Chapter for “ICONIC HEART”
Rather than simply reissuing the Japanese track, the Korean version preserves the original’s upbeat production while giving the lyrics a different character in Korean.
That allows Hearts2Hearts to capitalize on the momentum “ICONIC HEART” created in Japan while bringing the song into the group’s Korean promotional cycle.
With music-show appearances coming next, the latest release could become another important step in Hearts2Hearts’ rapidly expanding international presence.
