Swedish pop star Zara Larsson brought her Midnight Sun Tour to Seoul for her first-ever Korean headline concerts, turning an intimate live-music venue into a high-energy pop celebration filled with nonstop singing, dancing and fan moments.
Larsson performed at Myunghwa Live Hall in western Seoul on Oct. 4 and 5, with both shows selling out after a second date was added because of strong demand. The venue holds about 1,600 people, making the Seoul concerts considerably more intimate than the arena-scale shows associated with major global pop tours.
For Larsson, the Seoul performances marked a major milestone. She had previously visited South Korea only once, appearing at the 2017 Asia Song Festival, but this was her first time performing a headline show in the country.
Zara Larsson Turns Seoul Into a Giant Singalong
The singer opened the concert with “Midnight Sun,” immediately setting the tone for a set that featured more than 20 songs.
Tracks including “Blue Moon,” “Can’t Tame Her,” “Love Me Land,” “All the Time,” “Pretty Ugly,” “Ain’t My Fault,” “Ruin My Life” and “Never Forget You” kept the crowd engaged throughout the night.
Rather than relying on an enormous stage production, the performance placed the emphasis on Larsson, her music and the audience. Fans sang along throughout the set, creating an atmosphere that made the relatively small venue feel much bigger.
The concert also featured an all-female band and dance team, adding to the show’s energetic and celebratory atmosphere.
A Korean Crowd Gives Larsson a Moment to Remember
One of the night’s standout moments came during “Pretty Ugly,” when Larsson encouraged the Seoul audience to shout a Korean version of the song’s empowering message.
The response was loud enough to become another memorable interaction between the Swedish singer and her Korean fans.
Larsson also shared a more personal moment while introducing “The Ambition,” reflecting on how her own ambitions had taken her all the way to Seoul and encouraging fans to pursue their own goals.
Fan From Manila Joins Zara Larsson on Stage
The biggest surprise of the night came during “Lush Life.”
Larsson invited a fan named Gina from Manila onto the stage. She wrote “Zara heart Korea” on Gina’s T-shirt before the fan performed the song’s choreography in front of the Seoul crowd.
Gina’s appearance carried an extra connection: Manila is another stop on Larsson’s 2026 tour, with her scheduled to perform there on Oct. 30.
The moment quickly became one of the most memorable parts of the Seoul concert, blending Larsson’s global fanbase with the Korean leg of her tour.
“Symphony” Brings the Night to a Peak
Larsson later delivered “Symphony,” her collaboration with Clean Bandit, before closing the concert with a reprise of “Midnight Sun.”
Confetti filled the venue as the singer brought the show full circle, with the crowd responding with the same enthusiasm that greeted her opening number.
The Seoul shows demonstrated that Larsson’s appeal extends well beyond the massive streaming numbers behind songs such as “Lush Life” and “Never Forget You.” Her ability to connect directly with fans proved particularly effective in a smaller venue.
The demand for the Seoul concerts also underlined the growing interest in international pop acts performing in South Korea outside the country’s dominant K-pop scene.
After Seoul, Larsson’s Midnight Sun Tour continues through Tokyo on Oct. 7 and 8, before heading to other Asian destinations, including Manila on Oct. 30 and Bangkok on Nov. 1.
For Korean fans, however, the biggest takeaway from the Seoul debut may be simpler: Zara Larsson finally brought the “Midnight Sun” to Korea — and the sold-out crowd made sure she knew how badly they had been waiting for it.
