SEOUL — Coway is bringing three everyday functions into a single piece of furniture with its new BEREX Triple Chair 2 Slim, a multifunctional chair designed to work as an office seat, recliner and massage chair while taking up less space.
The South Korean home-appliance company says the new model is 9% smaller in overall volume than its previous Triple Chair moving model, reflecting growing demand for furniture that can fit more easily into compact homes and workspaces.
The launch expands Coway’s BEREX wellness lineup as the company moves beyond its traditional water- and air-care businesses into products focused on rest, relaxation and home comfort.
One Chair, Three Functions
The BEREX Triple Chair series was designed around three uses: work, relaxation and massage.
During the day, the chair can function as an office or study chair. Its powered reclining system can then transform it into a lounge-style seat, while the built-in massage system provides another mode for relaxation.
The new Slim version keeps that multifunctional concept but reduces its footprint, making it easier to place in apartments, bedrooms, home offices and other areas where space is limited.
9% Smaller Design Targets Space-Conscious Homes
Coway reduced the product’s volume by 9% compared with the earlier moving-type Triple Chair.
It also added hidden wheels, allowing users to move the chair without exposing conventional casters on the exterior.
The chair height can be adjusted by up to 5 centimeters, allowing users to adapt the seating position to their body and working setup.
The company says the product measures 680 millimeters wide, 860 millimeters deep and 1,115 millimeters high when upright.
From Work Mode to Recliner
The chair’s powered reclining system adjusts from approximately 110 degrees, designed for working, to as much as 150 degrees for reclining and massage.
The backrest and leg rest can be controlled separately, allowing users to adjust their position depending on whether they are working, resting or using the massage function.
Coway has also incorporated a three-zone heated seat covering the back, waist, hips and legs.
For users who select the optional lower-back customization feature, the chair uses a C-curve design that can move forward by up to 70 millimeters to provide closer support. Up to four preferred posture settings can be stored.
Massage Technology Gets an Upgrade
Despite the slimmer body, Coway says the massage system has been expanded.
The Triple Chair 2 Slim uses a 3D massage module capable of moving vertically, horizontally and forward and backward. The massage balls can protrude by as much as 83 millimeters.
A shoulder-detection sensor identifies the user’s shoulder position to help target the neck, shoulders, back and lower back.
Users can choose from nine massage-intensity levels and 21 massage modes, including a swing massage course in which the backrest moves gently forward and backward.

Hidden Massage Balls Keep It Usable as an Office Chair
One of the more practical design choices is the hidden massage-ball structure.
When the massage function is not being used, the massage balls retract into the chair. Coway says this is intended to make the backrest more comfortable during ordinary work or study.
The chair also includes a head cushion designed to support the head and neck.
More Than Just a Chair
Coway has added several convenience features to the product, including a wireless remote with an OLED display and built-in quick-control buttons.
The chair also comes with a Bluetooth speaker, USB-C charging port and close-contact massage band.
An optional wireless multi-massage cushion provides additional massage and heating functions and can be placed on areas such as the abdomen or legs, according to Coway.
Six Color Options, Including Limited Edition
The BEREX Triple Chair 2 Slim is available in Ink Black, Wine Red, Camel Brown, Dark Brown and Taupe Beige.
Coway is also offering a limited Cloud White Edition, with only 100 units planned.
Customers can choose among three management plans: Total Care, Special Change and Service Free. Coway says the Total Care option includes periodic management and replacement services during the rental period.
Coway Is Expanding Its BEREX Wellness Business
The new chair is part of Coway’s broader BEREX business, which focuses on sleep, relaxation and wellness products.
Coway launched the BEREX brand internationally in 2024 with products including massage chairs and massage beds, positioning the business as a growth area beyond its established water- and air-purification categories.
The Triple Chair concept also reflects a broader furniture trend: combining multiple household functions into a single product as consumers seek to make better use of limited living and working space.
Coway has separately been expanding its product development efforts into other home-appliance categories, although the company has said that no final decision has been made on launching a broader large-appliance lineup.
The Bigger Idea Behind the Slim Chair
Coway’s latest product is essentially an attempt to solve two competing demands: people want more functions, but they do not necessarily want more furniture taking up space.
By combining an office chair, recliner and massage chair—and shrinking the overall volume by 9%—the company is betting that multifunctional furniture can make wellness features easier to integrate into everyday living spaces.
The BEREX Triple Chair 2 Slim therefore represents more than a new massage chair. It is part of Coway’s effort to turn ordinary furniture into multifunctional wellness equipment for increasingly space-conscious homes.
