Travellers Reminded to Update MyICA App for Enhanced Singapore Arrival Card

Travellers heading to Singapore have been reminded to update the MyICA mobile app from Sept 30 to access the enhanced Singapore Arrival Card, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said.

The updated SG Arrival Card will be available through the MyICA app and ICA’s website from Sept 30. Travellers arriving by land who use the app to generate their QR codes should also update it before submitting their arrival information.

The enhanced version was introduced as part of a broader refresh of the SG Arrival Card system. It includes additional language options and a passport scanning feature designed to automatically fill in travellers’ personal information.

The new interface will support 19 languages, compared with 12 previously. The seven additional languages are Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Dutch, Tagalog, Italian, Spanish and Russian.

The passport scan function is intended to make the submission process faster by allowing travellers to capture information directly from their passports instead of entering details manually.

The SG Arrival Card, which includes an electronic health declaration, is mandatory for most travellers entering Singapore. It must be submitted within three days, including the day of arrival.

Travellers transiting through Singapore without clearing immigration are exempt, while Singapore citizens, permanent residents and long-term pass holders entering through the Woodlands or Tuas land checkpoints do not need to submit the card.

ICA has also reminded travellers that the SG Arrival Card is free. Submissions should be made only through ICA’s official website or the MyICA mobile application.

The arrival card is not a visa and does not determine whether a traveller is granted entry into Singapore. Travellers must still meet the country’s immigration requirements and undergo clearance at the checkpoint.

With the enhanced system, ICA aims to make the arrival process more straightforward while giving travellers additional language and digital tools to complete their pre-arrival requirements.
