CLARK, PAMPANGA — Philippine boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is taking on a new international role as Global Ambassador for the 2026 JCI World Congress, adding star power to a major global youth leadership gathering that will bring delegates from around the world to Clark this November.
Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines announced Pacquiao’s appointment as the congress prepares to take place in Clark from November 11 to 15, 2026. The event is expected to place the Philippines at the center of discussions on youth leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation and international cooperation.
Pacquiao’s appointment gives the Philippines a globally recognized figure to help promote the country as the host of one of JCI’s major international gatherings.
From the Boxing Ring to a Global Leadership Stage
Known worldwide as an eight-division boxing champion and one of the Philippines’ most recognizable personalities, Pacquiao has spent much of his post-boxing career involved in public service, advocacy and international engagements.
His new JCI role places that global profile alongside an organization whose mission centers on developing young leaders and encouraging them to create positive change in their communities.
For JCI, the appointment comes as the Philippines prepares to welcome an international audience to Clark — a destination increasingly positioning itself as a major meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) hub.

Clark Development Corporation has been working with the Department of Tourism to strengthen the area’s position as an international MICE destination ahead of the congress. Reports said the event is expected to generate activity for hotels, transport providers and community enterprises across Clark and neighboring areas.
SunStar previously reported that JCI secured the hosting rights for the Philippines, with the 2026 congress envisioned as an opportunity to showcase Clark’s infrastructure, accessibility and capacity for international events.
