Hong Kong stars Jackson Wang and Edison Chen have sparked excitement among streetwear fans after teasing what appears to be an upcoming collaboration between their respective fashion brands, TEAM WANG design and CLOT.
The pair shared cryptic social media posts on Oct. 4, setting off speculation that a joint project between the two influential labels could soon be unveiled.
A Mysterious Call for Help
The teaser begins with a video call between Chen and Wang, with Chen appearing to ask the younger star for help in a scenario that resembles a familiar online scam.
In the video, Chen says he is in Guangzhou and needs 300 yuan to make his way back to Hong Kong. Wang appears to take the request seriously and asks how he can help.
Chen then sends Wang an image featuring the logos of CLOT and TEAM WANG design, together with a QR code.
Rather than leading to a personal payment request, the QR code directs users to TEAM WANG design’s website, hinting that the exchange is part of a carefully planned campaign rather than a genuine plea for money.
The playful concept appears to draw on an old internet joke involving Chen asking for money to return to Hong Kong, which has circulated online for years. This time, however, Chen himself appears to be participating in the joke as part of the promotional campaign.
‘On My Way’ Adds to the Mystery
A separate post shared by the brands features a black-and-white video of a moving train carrying the words “On My Way”.
The following image contains a similar visual to the one Chen sent Wang during their video call.
Its accompanying message suggests that the campaign is about a journey whose destination has yet to be revealed.
“We come from different places, making different choices,” the post says, before encouraging followers to scan the QR code or visit the TEAM WANG design website to take part in the campaign.
The campaign’s language has further fuelled speculation that the two brands are preparing to announce a joint collection or broader creative project.
Fans Asked to ‘Help’ Edison Return to Hong Kong
The mystery deepens on the TEAM WANG design website, where a campaign landing page carries the message: “Jackson Wang invites you to support Edison Chen’s return.”
A progress bar was shown at around 57 per cent at the time of AsiaOne’s report, while a countdown indicated that five days remained before the next stage of the campaign.
The unusual format has turned what initially looked like a simple celebrity prank into an interactive promotional campaign.
Details of the actual products or collection have not yet been fully disclosed, leaving fans to speculate about what the two brands may be preparing.
Two Influential Names in Asian Streetwear
A collaboration between CLOT and TEAM WANG would bring together two of Hong Kong’s most recognisable names in contemporary streetwear.
CLOT was founded by Edison Chen in 2003 and has developed into an international lifestyle label known for combining Eastern and Western cultural influences with fashion and design. Chen has also worked with major global brands, including Adidas, on collections inspired by his creative direction.
TEAM WANG design, meanwhile, was co-founded by Jackson Wang and Henry Cheung in 2020. The label forms part of Wang’s broader creative and business ventures outside his music career. Wang’s official biography describes TEAM WANG design and TEAM WANG Records as part of his entrepreneurial portfolio.
Wang has also built collaborations with major international names including Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Armani, Nike and Air Jordan, further establishing his presence at the intersection of music, fashion and culture.
A Collaboration That Could Carry Cultural Weight
Beyond the celebrity appeal, a CLOT and TEAM WANG project would unite two brands with similar ambitions of connecting Asian creativity with a wider international audience.
CLOT has spent more than two decades building its reputation through collaborations and cultural projects, while TEAM WANG has emerged as part of Wang’s expansion from K-pop star and solo artist into entrepreneur and creative director.
The two labels also represent different generations of Hong Kong’s entertainment and fashion scenes, making the potential collaboration notable beyond the clothing itself.
For now, neither side has publicly revealed the full details of the project.
But with the interactive campaign already underway and a countdown running on the TEAM WANG design website, fans may not have to wait much longer to find out what Jackson Wang and Edison Chen have been working on.
