Car Rear-Ends SUV in Yishun, Leaving Driver Injured

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital after a two-car accident in Yishun on the night of Sept 16.

The accident happened at about 8.15pm along Yishun Ring Road, according to Singapore police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force.

A video shared on TikTok showed a grey saloon car that had rear-ended a black SUV. The front of the grey car sustained significant damage, with parts of its bonnet and bumper partially dislodged.

The car’s airbags also appeared to have deployed, while debris was scattered across the road following the collision.

Two Traffic Police motorcycles were seen at the scene diverting traffic away from the damaged vehicles as emergency personnel responded to the incident.

The 23-year-old male driver was conscious when he was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for treatment.

Police said a 33-year-old male driver, who was involved in the accident, is assisting with ongoing investigations.

Authorities have not disclosed further details about what caused the collision.

Police investigations into the accident are continuing.
