A 44-year-old man known by the alias “Bangkay” was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Toledo City, Cebu, on the morning of September 22, 2026.
Police identified the suspect as a resident of Barangay Poblacion, where the operation was conducted. He was taken into custody and detained at the Toledo City Police Station.
Authorities said they recovered four sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6,664 from the suspect.
The arrest was part of continuing anti-drug operations in Toledo City, where police have been conducting targeted operations against individuals allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade.
In a separate operation earlier in the week, police also arrested a 38-year-old man identified by the alias “Ado” in Barangay Awihao at around 1:57 a.m. on September 20.
Authorities said Ado was allegedly caught with shabu valued at approximately P9,044.
The two arrests highlight the continuing police operations against suspected drug activity in communities across Cebu. Both cases remain subject to the appropriate investigation and legal proceedings.
