MANILA, Philippines — Newlyweds Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co are back in the spotlight after spending time in Europe for their honeymoon, but the couple’s return to their respective careers is unfolding differently.
Vincent, president of Puregold Price Club, was recently spotted participating in the Hakot Relay South Luzon event at Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus, Cavite, marking his return to a public business-related activity after the couple’s European trip.
Bea, meanwhile, was not present at the event, leaving questions about when she will resume a fuller schedule of professional commitments.
Vincent gets back on the track
Vincent joined the Puregold-organized running event on September 19, where more than 4,000 runners took part in the South Luzon leg.
Rather than staying on the sidelines, he joined the relay participants and briefly interacted with Bea’s new interim manager, Chris Cahilig, before returning to the race.
Bea was not spotted at the event.
When asked about her absence, Cahilig responded jokingly that Bea had “another world” to attend to, while also saying he was unsure whether the actress was interested in running.
The event also introduced Puregold’s first 8K Individual Challenge, with around 500 participants completing the full distance.
Bea’s career plans are still being worked out
While Vincent has already resumed public activities, Bea’s professional schedule appears to be less settled.
Cahilig, who became Bea’s interim manager after the resignation of longtime manager Shirley Kuan in August, said there are numerous pending contracts and endorsements involving the actress.
But he stressed that decisions about Bea’s next steps have not yet been finalized.
When asked about reports that Bea could take a break after her current television series, Cahilig said the decision ultimately belongs to the actress.
He also explained that he had not yet had an extensive discussion with Bea about her broader plans because she had only recently returned from back-to-back international trips.
For now, discussions have largely focused on contracts rather than announcing a definitive new career direction.
From honeymoon back to the spotlight
Bea and Vincent’s European trip followed their intimate civil wedding in July.
The couple surprised many followers when their marriage was confirmed after previously reported plans for a wedding in Spain did not push through.
Bea later shared photographs from their European honeymoon, offering followers glimpses of the couple’s travels through Italy.
The honeymoon also marked one of the couple’s first major public glimpses together as newlyweds.
Now that the trip is over, attention has shifted toward what comes next—particularly for Bea, whose entertainment career remains active despite the uncertainty surrounding her immediate schedule.
Bea already has several projects in the pipeline
Before her marriage, Bea was balancing television and business commitments.
Her ongoing drama “Whispers From Heaven,” which also stars Tom Rodriguez, remains among her major professional commitments. In August, Bea also discussed other projects and brand activities planned for 2026.
Her current professional situation therefore appears less like a complete withdrawal from show business and more like a period in which upcoming commitments are still being finalized.
Cahilig’s comments indicate that contracts and endorsements are being discussed, but he has not announced which projects Bea will formally accept next.
Vincent’s appearance adds another chapter
For Vincent, the Hakot Relay provided a relatively low-key return to public activity.
The businessman participated alongside thousands of runners and did not give an extended interview during the event. His appearance nevertheless drew attention because it came shortly after his honeymoon with Bea.
The South Luzon race was also part of Puregold’s wider nationwide Hakot Relay series, with another Manila event planned for December at Luneta, where local artists are expected to perform.
What’s next for Bea?
For now, there is no confirmed announcement that Bea is stepping away from entertainment.
What has been confirmed is that she has returned from her European travels, has pending professional opportunities, and is working with a new interim manager following Kuan’s departure.
Whether she immediately returns to a packed entertainment schedule or takes time before accepting additional projects remains her decision.
For fans, that uncertainty is likely to keep the spotlight firmly on the actress.
