SEOUL — HYBE is taking K-pop beyond concert venues and streaming platforms, bringing its artists to movie theaters around the world for HYBE CINE FEST 2026, a weeklong event featuring concert films, live BTS broadcasts and an interactive 3D fan experience.
The festival will run from October 24 to 31, expanding HYBE’s cinema project internationally after previous editions in Latin America and Asia. The 2026 edition will reach more than 1,100 theaters across roughly 50 countries, with the broader festival rollout spanning more than 60 territories according to HYBE’s global distribution partner, Trafalgar Releasing.
The expansion represents HYBE’s largest cinema push yet, turning movie theaters into temporary gathering spaces where K-pop fans can watch performances together rather than simply consuming concert footage at home.
BTS Comes to the Big Screen With Live World Tour Broadcasts
One of the biggest attractions will be live viewing events from BTS’ ongoing “BTS World Tour ‘ARIRANG’.”
Fans will be able to watch BTS concerts in Buenos Aires and São Paulo through participating cinemas, with live or time-zone-adjusted broadcasts depending on location. The Buenos Aires performance is scheduled for October 24 in the Americas and October 25 in other regions, while the São Paulo show will be broadcast October 30 in the Americas and October 31 elsewhere.
That gives international fans an opportunity to experience the concerts collectively inside theaters, even when they are thousands of kilometers from the actual stadium.
SEVENTEEN, TXT and ENHYPEN Get Their Own Cinema Spotlight
BTS is not the only major HYBE act featured in the festival.
The program includes three concert films receiving theatrical screenings:
- SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR ‘NEW_’
- TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR ‘ACT : TOMORROW’
- ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘BLOOD SAGA’
The films will give CARATs, MOAs and ENGENEs a cinema-based way to revisit the groups’ live performances on the big screen.
The lineup shows how HYBE is using its broader artist roster rather than building the festival around a single group.
HYBE Turns the Cinema Into a Fan Event
The festival’s most distinctive feature may be HYBE CHEERING PARTY, an interactive 3D presentation designed to encourage audiences to sing, cheer and use their official light sticks together.
The experience brings music-video and performance content from a wide range of HYBE-affiliated artists, including BTS, SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, &TEAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, ILLIT, KATSEYE, aoen, CORTIS and SANTOS BRAVOS.
Rather than treating the cinema as a conventional screening room, HYBE is positioning selected locations as fan gathering spaces.
Special Cinema Locations Add More Than Movies
Selected venues will offer additional activities, including photo zones, message walls, official merchandise, light-stick decorating areas and capsule-toy experiences.
In Seoul, Lotte Cinema World Tower will host a Special Location Plus experience throughout the festival. Similar dedicated experiences are planned in cities including Tokyo, Mexico City, Berlin, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. HYBE’s official schedule also lists special locations in Taipei, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila and São Paulo.
The Manila event is scheduled at SM Mall of Asia, giving Filipino fans a local venue for the festival experience.
HYBE’s Cinema Strategy Is Expanding Fast
HYBE CINE FEST did not begin as a global event.
The festival launched in Latin America in 2024, attracting about 260,000 moviegoers, before expanding into Asia in 2025, where attendance reached approximately 320,000, according to HYBE and Korea Herald reporting.
The 2026 expansion therefore represents a substantial increase in geographic reach.
It also reflects a wider entertainment-industry trend in which concert films, live broadcasts and fan-focused cinema events are becoming another way for artists to connect with audiences outside traditional tours.
Tickets Go on Sale September 30
Global ticket sales are scheduled to begin on September 30 at 6 a.m. Pacific Time / 9 a.m. Eastern Time / 2 p.m. British Summer Time. Korean ticket sales are scheduled to begin October 15. Specific screening schedules and participating theaters will be released through the official festival channels.
In South Korea, the festival will be screened exclusively through Lotte Cinema, while Japan will have a separate rollout through Avex Pictures.
For fans elsewhere, availability will vary by participating territory and cinema.
K-Pop’s Next Big Screen Moment
HYBE CINE FEST 2026 shows how K-pop’s global ecosystem is continuing to expand beyond albums, streaming platforms and stadium tours.
With BTS live broadcasts, concert films from SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER and ENHYPEN, plus a large-scale interactive experience featuring artists across HYBE’s roster, the October festival is designed to turn the movie theater into another stage for K-pop fandom.
This October, HYBE isn’t simply putting K-pop on the big screen — it is bringing the concert atmosphere into cinemas across the world.
