Taiwan-based logistics property developer Ally Logistic Property (ALP) is investing about 10 billion baht to develop a large-scale smart warehouse in Thailand as demand grows for automated logistics facilities across Southeast Asia.
The project, known as OMEGA 1 Bangna, is being developed in the Bang Na area of Bangkok, close to major transport links including the Bang Na-Chon Buri expressway, Highways 7 and 9, and Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The facility covers more than 260,000 square metres and is designed around automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), allowing goods to be stored and retrieved with limited reliance on conventional forklift operations.
ALP says the development is intended to give businesses access to automated warehousing without requiring them to make the large upfront investment normally associated with installing their own automation systems.
The company is positioning the project as part of a wider push to modernise Thailand’s logistics infrastructure. Rising e-commerce activity, faster delivery expectations and labour shortages have increased pressure on businesses to improve warehouse efficiency while controlling operating costs.
OMEGA 1 Bangna will provide high-density storage capacity alongside conventional warehouse space, allowing companies from industries such as consumer goods, retail and e-commerce to use the facility according to their requirements.
The project is strategically located near Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor and major industrial and logistics centres, giving tenants access to both Bangkok and key manufacturing areas in the country’s eastern region.
ALP has been expanding its logistics property business across Asia since its establishment in Taiwan. The company aims to develop a larger network of smart warehouses and logistics infrastructure in major markets across the region.
The Thailand investment comes as industrial and logistics property developers increasingly focus on automation and high-density facilities. Companies are seeking ways to address labour constraints while improving the speed and reliability of supply-chain operations.
OMEGA 1 Bangna is expected to become a major component of ALP’s Thailand operations, with the company using the project to establish its automated logistics model in the country’s growing warehousing market.
The development also reflects Thailand’s efforts to strengthen its position as a regional logistics and manufacturing hub, particularly as businesses seek more efficient supply chains and greater access to modern industrial infrastructure.
