Singapore is about to get a prehistoric visitor unlike anything seen before.
Dinosaur Odyssey, the acclaimed Japanese live dinosaur production from DINO-A-LIVE, is heading to Resorts World Sentosa this December for its first large-scale indoor production outside Japan. The show will run from Dec. 3 to 6, 2026, at Resorts World Convention Centre.
And this isn’t a traditional dinosaur exhibition where visitors simply stare at static models.
The production will feature 15 ultra-realistic, life-sized dinosaurs moving through the performance space, bringing some of the world’s most recognizable prehistoric creatures remarkably close to the audience.
Among the dinosaurs featured are the Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Utahraptor, Allosaurus, Suchomimus and Dakotaraptor. The exact lineup is subject to change, according to the organizer.
Forget the Museum — These Dinosaurs Move
The biggest attraction of Dinosaur Odyssey is its realism.
The dinosaurs are created using DINO-TECHNE mechanical suits, a technology developed and refined by Japanese company ON-ART for more than two decades. The suits are designed to reproduce physical characteristics and movements associated with dinosaurs, including lifelike motion as the creatures move around the venue.
The production combines the moving dinosaur suits with live performance, projection, lighting, sound, music and theatrical effects, taking audiences through prehistoric environments inspired by the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
According to CNA, the approximately 70-minute performance will place the dinosaurs within an arm’s reach of spectators, with roughly 3,000 seats available per show.
That proximity is precisely what separates Dinosaur Odyssey from a conventional stage production.
The audience isn’t simply watching dinosaurs from a distance. The dinosaurs are designed to move through the performance space, creating the impression that the prehistoric creatures have entered the room.
A T-Rex Photo Opportunity Is Also Coming
For visitors who want to take the experience even further, organizers are offering a special dinosaur photo experience.
CNA reports that ticketholders can purchase a S$30 add-on photo experience featuring a 12-metre-long T-Rex. The experience is limited to 100 participants per show and includes a dinosaur-themed mini plate.
The official event website also confirms that a limited premium dinosaur photo-and-gift experience will be available.
Dinosaur Fans Can Shop and Eat, Too
The prehistoric experience won’t necessarily end when the performance does.
Visitors can explore the event’s DINO Mart, which will feature dinosaur merchandise and collectibles. CNA reports that the store will carry more than 100 types of dinosaur-themed products, including figurines and fossil replicas.
Other coverage has also highlighted a dinosaur-themed café experience, giving families another way to extend their visit beyond the main show.
When Is Dinosaur Odyssey Singapore?
The Singapore season runs for four days:
- Dec. 3, 2026: 8pm
- Dec. 4: 8pm
- Dec. 5: 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm
- Dec. 6: 2pm, 5pm and 8pm
Each performance lasts approximately 70 minutes, without an intermission. Doors open 60 minutes before showtime, with the organizer recommending that visitors arrive 30–45 minutes before the performance.
How Much Are Tickets?
CNA reports general admission prices ranging from S$58 to S$128, with wheelchair-accessible seats at S$38 and a S$168 VIP package that includes a Cat 1 seat, plush toy and photobook.
The official event website currently lists tickets from S$38, while detailed ticket categories and packages are being sold through the designated ticketing platforms.
The organizer has announced that tickets will be available through SISTIC and Klook, with an early-bird promotion from Sept. 3 to 9 offering 10% off. General sales begin Sept. 10, 2026.
Designed for Families — But the Dinosaurs Are Very Close
The show is intended for children, families and dinosaur fans of different ages. Children aged 3 and above require tickets, while children under 3 can enter without a ticket when seated on a parent’s lap, according to the organizer.
However, the experience is intentionally immersive.
The official guidance notes that the production includes large moving dinosaurs, loud sounds, theatrical lighting and darkened scenes. Parents are advised to use their discretion for young children who may be sensitive to these elements.
The organizer also stresses that audience members must remain within designated areas and must not touch, approach or interfere with the dinosaurs unless instructed by performers or event staff.
Singapore Gets the First Large-Scale Indoor Production Outside Japan
The Singapore event is significant for DINO-A-LIVE because it represents the production’s first large-scale indoor international presentation outside Japan. Time Out Singapore reported that the Japanese premiere attracted more than 25,000 attendees, while organizers are anticipating strong demand for the Singapore season.
The event is also arriving during Singapore’s year-end school holiday period, making it particularly attractive to families searching for indoor entertainment.
For dinosaur enthusiasts, however, the real selling point is much simpler:
For a few minutes, the dinosaurs aren’t behind glass, on a screen or frozen in a museum display. They’re moving through the room.
And when that 12-metre T-Rex comes close, the question may no longer be whether Singapore is ready for dinosaurs — but whether the audience is ready to meet them.
