Rurusama Enters Her Homeowner Era With Major Condo Renovation Plans: ‘I’m So Scared’

SINGAPORE — Singaporean cosplayer and actress Rurusama is officially entering a new chapter of her life — homeownership.

The 27-year-old content creator recently revealed that she has purchased a three-bedroom condominium unit, marking a major personal milestone as she prepares to transform the property into a home that fits her lifestyle, work and personality.

But rather than celebrating the milestone without hesitation, Rurusama admitted that the reality of becoming a homeowner has left her feeling more anxious than excited.

“Homeowner era. I’m so scared,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Sept. 5, adding that she plans to document her renovation and home-shopping journey while asking her followers for advice.

Rurusama Gives Fans a First Look at Her New Home

Shortly after announcing the purchase, Rurusama shared a pre-renovation tour of the condominium.

She revealed that she immediately fell in love with the apartment when she first saw it, but the property is far from move-in ready.

According to Rurusama, the unit will undergo a complete gut renovation, meaning she will have to make major decisions about everything from flooring and tiles to kitchen counters and other finishes.

For someone used to creating content around cosplay, entertainment and lifestyle, the renovation is shaping up to become a new type of creative project.

And she already has plenty of ideas.

She Wants a Bigger Living Room

One of the features that attracted Rurusama to the condominium was the squarish layout of the living room.

She said she is considering removing one of the bedrooms to create a larger living space.

The plan would give her more room for entertaining, relaxing and potentially creating content — while also making better use of the overall layout.

Her plans for the master bedroom are equally ambitious.

Rurusama said she wants to upgrade from her current queen-sized bed to a king-sized bed, making the bedroom a more comfortable personal space.

RGB Toilet Lighting and a Dedicated PC Setup

Rurusama’s renovation plans aren’t exactly conventional.

Among the ideas she mentioned was installing RGB lighting in the toilet, adding a distinctly modern and personalized touch to the home.

She also wants a dedicated space for her personal computer.

One of the rooms could eventually feature an L-shaped computer setup, giving her a designated area for work, gaming or content creation.

The plans offer a glimpse into how the new property could combine traditional home comforts with the technology and creativity that have become part of Rurusama’s online career.

Friends and Fellow Creators Congratulate Her

Rurusama’s announcement quickly drew congratulations from fellow entertainers and online personalities.

Among those responding were actress Bonnie Loo, content creator Mayiduo and Malaysian influencer-businessman Chai Chang Yong.

Actor Benjamin Tan also joined the conversation with a joke about sleeping in the home’s DB box cabinet, while DJ and online personality Jade Rasif asked for a house tour.

The reactions added a lighthearted touch to what is otherwise a significant milestone for the young entertainer.

From Cosplay to Acting

Rurusama’s new homeowner milestone comes as her career continues to expand beyond cosplay and online content creation.

In 2026, she appeared in My Girlfriend is an Alien, a microdrama produced by King Kong Media Production, where she played an extraterrestrial character named Layla.

The project became her third acting role, following Love in Transit in 2025 and the Chinese New Year comedy film Luck My Life in 2026, which marked her first movie role.

In an earlier interview with AsiaOne, Rurusama discussed the challenges of transitioning into acting and said she was open to taking on a variety of roles, including protagonist and antagonist characters.

She also said she views constructive criticism as an opportunity to improve her performance rather than something negative.

A New Chapter — and a Lot of Decisions Ahead

For Rurusama, buying the condominium appears to represent more than simply purchasing property.

It is the beginning of a new stage in both her personal life and her growing career.

But before she can fully enjoy her new home, there is a long renovation journey ahead — from choosing materials and redesigning rooms to figuring out exactly how to combine her living space with the needs of a content creator.

For now, Rurusama is embracing the uncertainty.

Her first homeowner update may have started with “I’m so scared,” but judging by the ambitious plans she has already revealed, her new condominium could soon become one of her biggest creative projects yet.

And if she follows through on the renovation videos she promised, fans may get to watch the entire transformation from an empty three-bedroom unit into Rurusama’s personalized dream home.
